Photos from our #MusicalTheater Master Class last season, led by our very own Director of Curriculum & Programs, Darnel Butler, @darnelnutlermusic, and ACT Teaching Artist Mackenzie McLean @mackenziefmclean.

#Masterclasses like this are just one of the many opportunities we offer our students as we work to provide in-depth, hands-on learning in areas that not only interest them but also support their growth as artists.

Through these experiences, we connect our students with industry professionals who can teach, mentor, and share real-world knowledge from their own creative careers. That access gives young artists the opportunity to strengthen their craft, ask questions, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of the many pathways available to them in the arts.

Thank you to the wonderful group of talented young performers from across the Tampa Bay area who came ready and eager to learn!

Stay tuned for more updates on this season’s upcoming masterclasses and opportunities for our students to learn from professionals across the creative industries.

Hadestown❤️

This has been the most incredible experience. I can’t even explain how much fun I had and how much I love each and every one of the people who were a part of this show, everyone is like family to me and I am so so grateful to have been a part of this. Thank you to everyone who came to support me and thank you to everyone in this show for all that you have done for me. This is the best senior show I could have ever asked for. I love all of you guys so much.

Darnel, thank you a million times for letting me be a part of such a beautiful show. You are the best director and I am so grateful for you and all that you do. Getting to work with you and be a part of act has been one the hugest blessings of my life. Thank you.

Kenzie and Ana, thank you guys so much for always being so supportive, uplifting, and kind. You both are so special and I am so lucky to get to work with such talented and caring people. I love you guys so much

Annalise, I am so beyond proud of you, it was an honor for me to get to see you play your dream role and absolutely kill it every time. I hope you know that you are so talented and such a special person, I love you so much and i’ll be there front row when you sing this show again on broadway one day.
