Leaving WZA ‘26 a very proud coach!

One 1st Overall and two 2nd Overall finishes for CFLV. Behind those results were months of hard work and I’m proud of every athlete who stepped onto that competition floor. I get to see the effort these athletes put in every week, so watching them bring it all together means a lot.

Seeing them support each other, celebrate each other’s wins, and show up for each other all weekend made it even better. Everyone had their own competition to focus on but still made time to be there for their teammates. That says everything about this crew!

To our CFLV community: thank you for being in our corner and supporting this team. Whether you were cheering in person, following along from home, or supporting these athletes every day in the gym, you’re part of this too. We are lucky to have you!

Also a big shout to my fellow coaches, Shea & Blade, who helped make this weekend possible by helping me support all of these athletes. There is no one way I could have done it alone and I appreciate all of your great coaching!

Now please show these athletes some love in the comments! 👇

CFLV TAKES ON WODAPALOOZA! 🔥🌴

Sept 25-27 our crew heads to Huntington Beach to represent CrossFit Las Vegas at the @gymreapers WZA 2026!

Behind every athlete in this photo are months of hard work, early mornings, late nights, tough training days, and teammates helping each other get better. Were proud of the work they’ve put in and excited to watch them bring it to the competition floor.

Coaches Mike, Shea, & Blade will be there supporting our athletes throughout the weekend along with countless friends & family. We’ll be sharing updates the whole way so you can follow along from home.

Show this crew some love in the comments! Who are you cheering for? 👇

Everyone has advice when the big moment gets close.

Suddenly there are opinions everywhere about what you should change, add, fix or do differently.

Before you let someone into your head, ask yourself: Where were they for the last 365 days?

Good coaching isn’t just knowing the sport. It’s knowing the athlete...their strengths, weaknesses, habits, confidence, tendencies, and everything that got them to this point.

My athletes know where I’ve been…right beside them.

That doesn’t mean I always have the only answer or even the best answer. But it does mean my advice comes with context & trust built over hundreds of days, not just the final few.

Listen to advice. Consider it. But choose carefully who gets a voice in your head when it matters most.

Trust is built long before competition day arrives.

Tag someone who has been in your corner long before the big moment!
