It’s me!
Hi 👋🏻 I would like to re introduce myself for those who haven’t met or seen me!
My name is Christina - I’ve been a makeup artist for over 20 years having also studied Beauty Therapy 💅🏻
I love working in the Makeup Industry - it’s my safe place, my happy place and also my creative place.
I love doing editorial, bridal, creative, campaign and event work.
I have been a finalist in many national makeup awards over 10 times and in 2023 I won the WA / NT Makeup Artist of the year for the Makeup Artist Guild of Asia Pacific.
I have most recently placed as a semi finalist for the International Beauty Awards and I am so excited to see what the future holds.
I love helping people feel their best and have confidence in their look, working with other creatives and collaborating on fun creative projects.

Ginger and Sunshine Series: (aka Me 🥷and Chereine ☀️)

We were sitting on the balcony, looking at the sunset and the way the clouds ☁️ made fun new shapes. So I get the camera and started to see if we could capture them and add to the shoot.

Makeup mimicked the softness of the clouds edges.

A close-up shot of the incredible detail in @juliagreen_makeup's award-winning look on @noli_shand.⁠

Lighting for this shot involved a blue gel on the fill light which gives the eye an unusual catch-light (and a blue background in the wider shot - see earlier post), while also creating cool-toned shadows from the hard key light. The key light is positioned higher than usual for a beauty shot to accentuate the form and texture in the carefully trimmed and placed eyelashes.

🏆THIS is the @themagap MAKEUP SHOT OF THE YEAR 🏆

I wanted to create a makeup inspired by underwater sea creatures - a beautiful sea anemone seamlessly integrated into the face. Cutting and placing false lashes in different lengths and designs to make the texture, and laying them in the natural patterns found in succulent plants. Finally painting and embellishing to bring it to life.

🪸A million thank you’s to @noli_shand for being so patient and enthusiastic with my vision - you are truly a dream to work with ✨
