It's the final countdown to the brick and mortar of @thecollectivelifestyleshop and even though the physical store is closing the online store will remain open.

You can check the times on the @thecollectivelifestyleshop page.

We the small businesses that she's had in her shop, thank you.

Autumn I thank you again!❤

But God I did it!

Now take a look at what the ladies made.

* Heather's ended up matching her shirt color.
* Joann's didn't come out exactly right but it's still unique.
* Autumn's did hers backwards and it still came out quite nice.

Soooo, which one was your favorite style? Let me know in the comments.

It’s so special when you can make work that really touches people. I made this work for Autumn so that she could have something to remember her brick and mortar shop. When I gave it to her she cried because of how much it meant to her.

I am really proud of this piece, not only because I able to touch her, but because I think this is one of my best watercolor pieces yet. What do you think?

Come With Me For a Girls’ Night at The Collective + Makery

📍4724 Main Street in Lisle
@thecollectivelifestyleshop
@themakerytc

What to know:
▪️Established 2017
▪️Black-Owned
▪️85 % of products in the store are woman-owned, give back or are small batch/artisan made
▪️Offers a unique shopping and creative experience
▪️Offers private and public workshop experiences

Owner Autumn Geist has created a space that not only is a beautiful shop that supports other local makers and businesses, but also is a place to gather and create.

I brought a few friends together that did not all know each other. So we all pulled up chairs around a treat-filled coffee table in the store. We could have been in one of our homes, it felt so cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed a drink and some bites as the small talk turned into great conversations.

We then went into the studio part of the shop and created a “It’s a Wonderful Life” watercolor. Crafting and chatting is a magical combination.

This is a night I will remember because of the people and the business that brought us together.

Thank you to The Collective + Makery for hosting this festive night.

And a special thank you to @nwblisle for the generous delicious meat and cheese board.
