Founder Spotlight: Breity Sabrin | Co-Founder, The Marvel Be You

My entrepreneurial journey did not begin with a business plan. It began with a feeling that kept telling me there had to be more. I started working at 21 while studying Marketing and International Business at North South University, Bangladesh. My career took me through Grameenphone, Ogilvy, Robi and later Sheba, where I built my experience across marketing, branding and communication.

After several years in the corporate world, I left at 32. I I gave myself three months without a job or a plan. That pause gave me clarity: I wanted to build something of my own. My first venture, Just Storys Ltd., became my first entrepreneurial chapter. We were among Bangladesh’s early content platforms and built a community of more than 100,000 followers at a time when content and influencer marketing were still emerging. I believed deeply in what we were building, but COVID changed everything. We could not sustain the business, and I had to let go of a dream I had invested so much of myself in. It was painful, but I knew I was not ready to give up.

In 2021, a conversation with my friends and now co-founders, Mahzabin and Nafi, opened the door to something new. We saw the enormous potential of Bangladesh’s emerging creator economy and decided to build for it. Six months later, we launched Season One of Marvel of Tomorrow, an influencer awards and festival platform that has since become a flagship platform for Bangladesh’s creators and influencers. After five seasons, the journey expanded into Marvel Be You, our influencer marketing platform, and Flex, a social currency platform connecting aspiring creators, brands and everyday influence.

Today, through The Yours Truly Private Limited, we are building technology and platforms around creators, brands and the future of communication. When I look back, I realise my biggest achievement was not simply building a company. It was choosing to believe again after losing one. Entrepreneurship has taught me that setbacks can change your direction without ending your journey. Sometimes, the courage to start again is the most important step you can take.
