Building with purpose. 🌵🏔️

Every project starts with the land — the desert, the views, the mountains that make Scottsdale what it is. Our goal isn’t just to put a house on a lot, but to design something that feels like it belongs there.

That means protecting the natural landscape where we can, working with the contours of the site, and creating architecture that complements the desert instead of competing with it.

The result: modern homes that feel connected to their surroundings, with one-of-a-kind design rooted in the place they’re built.

“How long does it take to build a home?” ⏳

For a smaller starter home under 2,000 SF, the build can usually be done in about 6 months.

For larger custom homes, you’re typically looking at 8–12 months, depending on the size, design, and site conditions.

Of course, design and permitting add time before construction even begins — but once the build starts, that’s a good rule of thumb.

Every project is different, but the goal is always the same: a home built the right way, not the rushed way.

If you’re planning on exposed polished concrete floors… pay attention to your slab-to-stem wall detail. 👇

You can’t just pour flush to the top of a masonry stem wall and expect a clean, continuous look later. If you want those floors to run seamless and polished edge-to-edge, you actually need to cast the slab over the stem wall — not inside it.

That means planning ahead:
• Set your forms and rebar so the slab bears on top of the wall.
• Coordinate waterproofing and insulation details early.
• Make sure your finish floor elevations line up before you pour — you only get one shot.

It’s one of those small details that separates a clean architectural finish from a patchwork fix later.

4 things you have to set up before starting construction 🏗️

1️⃣ Construction water meter + backflow – you’ll need water on site for dust control, grading, and compaction.
2️⃣ Security cameras – keeps live footage of all people coming and going onsite
3️⃣ Sanitation – simple but critical. Portable restrooms keep the job clean and compliant.
4️⃣ Site fencing & signage – secures the project, protects neighbors, and keeps everything organized.

It’s not the exciting part of building, but getting these in place early makes the whole process smoother and helps avoid delays later

Before you reuse dirt on site, you’ve got to run a soils proctor test. 🏜️🧪

It tells us how well the soil will compact and what moisture levels are needed to hit the right density. If you skip this step and just start moving dirt around, you risk settling issues later — which can mean cracks, drainage problems, or even structural concerns.

It’s not the most glamorous part of building, but it’s one of those behind-the-scenes checks that makes sure the ground under your home is solid for the long haul.

How a retaining wall comes together: 🧱

1️⃣ Layout & survey – mark where the wall will go
2️⃣ Dig footings – create the base
3️⃣ Place rebar – add strength
4️⃣ Pour concrete – set the foundation
5️⃣ Set block – build the wall up course by course
6️⃣ Backfill – tie it all back to the site

It looks simple once it’s finished, but every step matters to make sure the wall holds strong and lasts.

Big move here — adding a massive slider for the kitchen serving window 👇

This detail completely changes how the space lives. When that window’s open, the kitchen connects right to the patio — turning outdoor dining and entertaining into an extension of the home.

It’s one of those features that looks great, but more importantly, it works.
💡 Brings in natural light
💨 Improves airflow
🍹 Keeps the kitchen part of the party
🌅 Frames the view and opens the space up

Simple detail, huge impact. These are the kinds of design decisions that make a house feel elevated when you live in it day to day.
