I stood with New York’s bodegas and small businesses — many of whom are run by immigrant families, like mine — to support their request for fairness, due process, and inclusivity.

Thank you to the Multicultural Business Coalition @thembcnetwork, the National Association of State Latino Chambers of Commerce, the New York State Coalition of Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and the Hispanic Buying Group for bringing us together.

I want every hardworking New Yorker to know, as Attorney General, I will protect you from rising crime, I will protect you from rising costs, and I will protect your ability to pursue the American dream against anyone who is trying to take it away, regardless of the politics.

There will be many more pictures coming. It’s just the first day of Global Entrepreneurship Week, after all. Prepare for an avalanche of captured moments celebrating the entrepreneurs - the makers, dreamers, and doers - that make our city great.

But, if I’m really being honest about it, sometimes I post pics for no reason other than we cute.

Another impactful @kauffmanfdn ESO Leadership Lab wrapped this afternoon. Grateful to have time to focus on the Multicultural Business Coalition (@thembcnetwork )- past, present, and future. Three questions I wrote down for myself as a personal challenge- How can I be a better collaborator? How can I model abundance in action (opposite of scarcity mentality)? How can I better share capital (all 10 types)? Excited to explore and learn. See you Monday for GEW? :) #MBCKC #thembcnetwork #eachoneteachone #eshiplookslike #ESOleadershiplab #collaborationiscurrency #eshipcamp #campconnect #ventureadventure #capitalstack #abundancemindset

Yesterday marked the completion of an exciting and immersive two-day kickoff at the @kauffmanfdn ESO Leadership Lab.

We're excited to be a part of this new community-building program for Entrepreneur Support Organizations, which allows ESOs to work together to develop innovative solutions to address our biggest challenges. Thank you to @kauffmanfdn for the opportunity. We are eager to see what the future holds!

Entrepreneur Support Organizations UNITE!

Wrapped day two of the inaugural ESO Leadership Lab at @kauffmanfdn today and it was such an incredible experience! Leadership from organizations making an impact in our entrepreneurial ecosystem convened / converged / diverged together - discussions were had, challenges were explored and an engaging problem solving framework was put into practice.

When ESOs are funded and operate well, we’re better able to offer high levels of dynamic service to the entrepreneurs we serve. Founders and small business owners power economies, y’all - and it’s great to be a part of a cohort supporting that.

Thanks to the Kauffman team for the opportunity (and the sweet space!) and our fab Humantific facilitators for the learning experience! Can’t wait to catch everyone in November!

This week has been a joy 😁. I had the chance to join the @kauffmanfdn ESOLeadershipLab on behalf of the Multicultural Business Coalition, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit network of entrepreneurs, owners, and resource partners (@thembcnetwork). MBC is 8 years (young) now and I’m excited for our present and future. Felt good to be facilitated and make space for ideation and collaboration over the last few days, and of course, the legal session with John Tyler was my favorite 🤓

Truly a celebration of entrepreneurship this week... Kudos to all who celebrated, attended, and presented at #GEWKC and #GEWMO this year! Loved the chance to be back in person + join events across the state virtually. I am always inspired after time and community at @theblakkco ; please go visit and join! It was also great seeing and doing a little media work today with one of my favorite Rising Trades Contractor Accelerator partners, Ashley with Building Energy Exchange KC. We’re recruiting now for our second cohort, which starts in January. Please send me all your favorite construction contractors!

Best question of the day: “How do you turn a city into a community?”
GEW is an great opportunity for me to reflect on my own role in this beautiful, innovation ecosystem. Somehow I’ve been running businesses in KC for more than 10 years ✨❤️! Started the day with some of my favorite women in construction and learning from women leading in the arts; two Rising Trades Contractor Accelerator coaching sessions (graduation next!!); and just wrapped up a reflective conversation on the opportunities and impact of the arts in this space and my world. Tonight: emails and lawyering :) grateful to live my dream of contributing to sustainable business and transferable wealth.

Two more days to get involved with #GEW, in person and virtually!

Full day of contract drafting, Emerging Tech Board planning, and community engagement. Always good to see new and familiar faces at ecosystem strategy discussions and I enjoyed today’s Connecting ESHIP Communities discussion at the Federal Reserve. Maria Meyers said “We’ve arrived- all ecosystem players are thinking about (and doing) entrepreneurship focused work, and that wasn’t the case six years ago.” I love that, and we still have work to do. Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since the Black Women’s Startup Report, and thanks to @iamdellgines for the ongoing leadership and research.

BTW all, it’s time to start planning events for Global Entrepreneurship Week Missouri! Save the date for November 14-20. Looking forward to celebrating the global themes as well as the Missouri specific priorities- climate, technology, revitalization, and generational wealth.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. GEW is hosted every year in November in honor of National Entrepreneurship Month.

The Multicultural Business Coalition has been fortunate to provide several chances to connect with entrepreneurs, resource partners, and experts from across the state.
