Redemption: The ultimate mental battle is facing what once left you broken. Today was surreal—floating high in the air, finally getting the chance to hit a ramp again! A massive thank you too @pklem_241 @jbird788 for the opportunity to come out and shred! Such a rad time with the @motooption family!

Riding up to the ramp, all the memories flooded back—the moments that led to my two shattered ankles. I felt the goosebumps and recalled the surgeon saying my injuries were life-changing. As I took off the ramp and floated through the air, I remembered being told I’d never run or walk normally again, the months spent crab-crawling around the house, and the long days in a wheelchair, dealing with the constant pain.

BUT When I landed, a huge smile spread behind my helmet! No words could describe it, even though it was half the distance of when I got injured before… I still overcame the mental block and hit it! Super grateful for how far I’ve come. A reminder that you can achieve anything and too never let anyone tell you that you can’t!

one year ago - my bike shut off on a 75ft ramp resulting in a broken femur, broken hip, and a broken/dislocated shoulder. there was honestly a point where i didn’t think i would ride again.

365 days later i’m back to riding consistently and feel better than i ever have. not posting this as a “feel bad for me”, but posting because i’m so damn happy and proud to be riding and living normal after something so heavy. i’m lucky enough to have an amazing group of people around me, and to be involved with the best companies in the sport.

sorry for the long post this morning, just appreciating life for a minute ❤️🫶🏼
