The #Bekindbookstagram challenge๐Ÿงโœจโ˜€๏ธ (1st -5th December)
.
.
Weโ€™ve all been through a lot this year. Weโ€™ve endured so much that we surprise ourselves by dragging us out of the mess, getting up each morning and being hopeful that this will get better. All of us had something in common. We looked forward to finding an escape through this community. But from the last few months, Bookstagram had become suffocating. We all know why. Itโ€™s because somewhere down the lane, we forgot why we created our account- For sharing our love for books.
.
@thedocreadstoomuch and I thought that this would be a good time to remind ourselves to be kind and make this community our โ€˜happy placeโ€™ again. The five prompts contain five acts of kindness- for you and for others๐Ÿ’•

โœจRULES:
	1.	Add a post OR story for the above prompts. Thereโ€™s no compulsion as to what you should go for. Let your imagination run wild๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ
	2.	Use the hashtag #Bekindbookstagram and tag the hosts @howtobeabooknerd_ and @thedocreadstoomuch (Just so we can share everything that you hoomans createโœจ)
	3.	Follow our kind sponsors @thelilacski (The beautiful, new candle shop which is simply too underrated) and @kittiesandyarns (neeed I mention anything about how cute their products are?๐Ÿฅบ)
	4.	Spread a lil happiness around because we all need it. This isnโ€™t a competition so donโ€™t stress yourself and relax for a while๐Ÿ˜Š. Weโ€™re all in this for fun๐ŸŽŠ

โœจWhy there wonโ€™t be any โ€˜pointsโ€™:

-The entire point of this challenge is to act like a little break for the community. Whatโ€™s better than making someone smile? There will be no โ€˜pointsโ€™ kept. An act of kindness is surely remembered by those in need of it. All participants are equal :)
-Two randomly picked winners will get a โ€˜Red white and royal blueโ€™ themed gift hamper from @thelilacski ๐Ÿ’™
-One winner will get a set of coasters from @kittiesandyarns ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’œ
-If a small business wishes to promote themselves here and co-sponsor this challenge, weโ€™re totally up for it.
.
Will you be participating? Make your pledge today by sharing the prompts to your story๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

โœฟโœฟโœฟโœฟ BOOKSTAGRAM ANNIVERSARY POST โœฟโœฟโœฟโœฟ

Hello people!
Hope you all having a good time ๐Ÿ’ซ
So, exactly one year ago, I had planned to create this account, and post book reviews here. I had the following things in mind, while creating this blog:

โœฏReading, writing and photography had been a hobby, I thought to do something productive by utilizing these.
โœฏ To keep a track of all the books I have read and to write my thoughts about them, analyze them.
โœฏ People kept asking me for book recommendations, I thought that through this blog, it would be easier to guide people about what to read.
โœฏTo interact with book readers from around the world, and discuss books.

And here is the bonus stuff I got from this blog~
โœฏ I had created a Goodreads challenge for the first time,I knew I won't be able to complete all of it, but still, I thought to give it a try. In January, I made the goal to read 20 books this year, and that actually happened, completed all 20 by September! The reason is, the motivation I get here by watching other people read, and tonnes of recommendations I get all the time.

โœฏMet some people who share other hobbies with me, besides reading, and that made this place even more fun. Got to interact with people not only from Pakistan, but from other places too and they made me learn many things, improve more.

โœฏ Lastly, this place is not only where I get to discuss books with bibliophiles, but also discuss so many other things like different social issues, politics, and that's how we share opinions. Plus, we keep joking and pulling each other's leg all the time XD , which adds to the fun ๐Ÿ˜‚โค๏ธ
.
All in all, when I look back to the time I had thought to create this blog, I feel glad to have started it. It's a perfect hobby, fun and productive. Hope to continue this for as long as I can.
And, really, really grateful to all the people who supported me, made me learn so much, had a good laugh with me. Tagging some of those lovely people in this post. Without you guys, I don't think this blog would have been that fun. Lots of love, people โค๏ธAnd also really want to thank my followers too, for your support, for reading my thoughts and sharing yours. Let's stay connected!

๐™…๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง๐™ฃ๐™š๐™ฎ:
Well it will be one year for me after two months. ๐Ÿค I opened the door of bookstagram with the thought that I'll get good suggestions and info. About sales. I was Impressed by people's posts and reviews. I never had an idea that I'll be posting one day about any books or suggesting books to others. I'll tag all of them whom i personally like and was inspired.

Well, the road was never easy. I still am a amateur reader who loves fantasy novels. But coming everyday with a post was a real challenge to me. Setting all the props, books, clicking pictures in different angles, sometimes the result is so poor that i feel so demotivating. My mother and sister helped me too with all the props . I know this is the story of every bookstagrammers. We are well known to : everything is perfect when picture is perfect. I never thought that I'll be putting any efforts in clicking pictures of books. As you know that my initial motive was to just check and nothing else.

I don't know about others but it matters a ton to me. It motivates me to keep going.

๐™Š๐™—๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™˜๐™ก๐™š:
There are times when I feel so demotivating. And when it happens, i just read webtoon all day. Obstacles like:when you pay visit to your relative's home but forgets to bring any books, you read ebooks but people will still taunt you that you are always in phone even tho you will show proves. They won't believe that you can even read books in phone. Obstacles like schoolwork, collegeworks, no time to read any books and that stage is where i am now.

๐™๐™ง๐™ž๐™š๐™ฃ๐™™๐™จ:
Consider yourself lucky if you have friends who love books and not go molding and bending books however they like. I luckily have few friends love books @rashmiitaa and @_a_professional_bookworm_ having a friend by your side when you need them the most is sone pe suhaaga. I'm so grateful to God to have them.

Ps: I've sincerely talked about my views. I do not intend to hurt anyone's feelings and sentiments. ๐Ÿ’œ

Hey guys! I hope you are doing well. I just finished reading a book and I'm super happy about that! Somedays I barely pick up a book because I tend to spend most of my time here. But I'm trying to strike a balance between the the two worlds.๐Ÿ˜Œ
.
A while ago @bookedbypragya tagged me in #redandblackstack challenge so here's my stack! I mostly read on Kindle, that's why I don't have many paper books with me. I tried my best with what I had! I'm in the process of acquiring more hard copies. I don't know if you guys have done this challenge butย I'm tagging a few of you here. Feel free to do it if you want or ignore if you have done this already.๐Ÿ˜
.
The books in the stack include:
.
๐Ÿ Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy- A great classic I finished this year. It gave me the confidence that I can finish big books too!
.
๐Ÿ Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis- A very interesting and enriching book you'll ever read for vocabulary. You'll learn not only newย words but also how words originated from their roots.ย
.
๐Ÿ Latitudes of Longing by Shubhangi Swarup- Going to read this pretty soon!
.
๐Ÿ The Secret by Rhonda Byrne- A highly recommended book I don't think I'll ever read. (Never say never!) I don't believe in Law of Attraction. Now that's a bold statement but I do think it works but only for certain people. I could write a whole essay on why I don't believe in it.ย Maybe I'll do it someday.
.
๐Ÿ Siddhartha by Herman Hesse- Just finished reading this and I'm trying to get my thoughts inย order to write about it. This will be my next review post.
.
An update- From this point on, I'll post my pictures with a certain theme. I have been trying to find a way to create a feed that showcases the best of my abilities and my individuality and I think I haveย finally found it! I'm so excited to see how it all turns out. Also, I want to thank you guys for being with me and I would really appreciate it if you decided to stick around!โค๏ธ๐Ÿฅฐ
.
Happy Reading!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’ซ

"Old stories have a habit of being told and retold and changed. Each subsequent storyteller puts his or her mark upon it. Whatever truth the story once had is buried in bias and embellishment. The reasons do not matter as much as the story itself."

Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus

I was tagged by Komal @pickupbooks to do the #blackbookstack challenge. Thanks for the tag komal, I am further tagging others to take up this challenge. I am really excited to see what you guys come up with.

Not the usual long caption today, just a few fun questions.

i) Which of these books are my absolute favourites?
.
ii) One of these books was a disappointing read. Can you tell which one? (Hint : It's one of the stack ones, but not a classic.)
.
iii) See any of your favourites here, mention them in the comments section.

Hope everyone is hacking away at their TBR piles.

Stay Home, Stay Safe.

Always Wear a mask when you go out.

See you in the next one.
