Del Mar Fest 2026 🧡🤍🩵💙 San Diego takes a while to get to know. Other cities smack you in the face with who they are. Here, it’s a slow burn. You spend a weekend and think you’ve got it. You spend a month and realize you’ve barely scratched the surface. It’s a million contradictions and one truth, and there’s no place like it. This festival is our attempt to let that truth live and breathe. Created by locals, for locals, and for anyone who wants a taste of life in Southern California. A multi course dinner curated entirely by some of Baja’s top chefs. An oceanfront rooftop where 80 year old local legend @chickenpieshop served the lore alongside Brandt beef rib eye sliders. A star studded pickleball court where music legends, athletes, and reality stars competed to raise funds to fight hunger. And a sprawling lawn where thousands came to eat, drink, and play. This year, the sun brought record breaking temps to our corner of the universe and whewwww she burned. That’s San Diego for you! She can’t be branded, controlled, or predicted. In a year when everything costs an arm and a leg, you still chose to spend your day roaming and celebrating our intersection of contradictions. We hope you made some friends along the way. I sure did. For the last four years we’ve partnered with @feedingsandiego, because food brings joy to crowded tables, but too many tables in our city are empty. Let’s never forget that. A plethora of gratitude to the team behind the scenes, the faces you see on your screens who travelled to be here, the small businesses who popped up, and the brands who showed up. To the food makers and the drink pourers. To the guests who’ve been here since day one and the ones we met this year. From us to you, a humble and profound thank you, thank you, thank you. OK. Big news. Today we launch Here We Are—San Diego’s Creative Studio. Because many of our favorite stories—the ones that get straight to the real, electric heart of who we are and how we got to this moment in time—end with… “and so here we are.” At @herewearestudios, we build belonging. Build brand identities. Tell their stories in alive ways. Make movies. Do social. Craft custom publications. Bring brands to life in person at events. It’s the next step in the evolution and modernizing of San Diego Magazine. We’ve been telling the city’s stories since 1948. We won some big national awards recently, which is humbling and awesome. As we did, brands and businesses came to us and said, “Hey, can you tell our story like that?” Now we can. Here We Are is our blood oath to help brands build belonging. We’ll help local brands develop their best stories and launch out of San Diego garages. And we’ll help global brands coming into San Diego connect with the right people in the right way. Leading the studio is Megan Grable, one of the top creative directors in the country (and one of our favorite humans despite being a Cubs fan). For 20 years, she was the creative director who helped build Bulldog Drummond into a pretty rad, breathlessly creative place to bring your brand/dream/ideas. She helped startup dreams get off the ground. And some of the biggest brand giants in the world (Nike, Adidas, Starbucks, Johnnie Walker, a whole lot of them) trusted her to find new ways to tell their stories.
