POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

After the War of the Rohirrim premiere in London, my dear friend @themiddlepage and I took a few days to run away to Edinburgh, Scotland!
We wandered the stone streets, not caring if we got lost because every street in Old Town looked like a fairy tale. We explored the Christmas Market, Edinburgh Castle, Greyfriar’s Kirkyard, and the old underground closes. We discovered exactly how many scarves and layers it takes for two Californians to battle a Scottish winter. We went to bookstores and sword shops and coffee shops. And we climbed so many stairs.
Edinburgh had been on my dream travel list for a long time, I kept pausing to wonder at how amazing it was I was finally there.

I’m so incredibly thankful for this community. I’ve been feeling especially emotional and grateful for what this page has brought me, and for how cool it is I can share my love of Lord of the Rings with so many others.
How lucky am I to have spent my first comic con with the most amazing friends, new and old, who all love Tolkien just as much as I do? There were so many moments (in between laughter, and excitement, and passionate Tolkien lore discussions) where I thought “these are my people.”
To feel supported and understood and appreciated by so many beautiful souls, it’s an incredible feeling. It’s a testament to the power of Tolkien’s ideals of friendship and hope, really.
Thank you to all of you for being part of my community. Comic Con was an absolute blast. All the love.

Armor gang for opening weekend of the Faire! ⚔️

Yesterday was such an ideal Faire day. From the second I saw the weather forecast then arrived to find there was no line to drive in, I knew it was going to be a great day! Got to watch @tinygirlbigshow and @the_jousters as well as snippets of several others. Drank mead, hung out with lovely people, & just generally had an excellent start to @renaissancepleasurefaire season. Huzzah! 🖤

Everyday Adventures: when you meet up with your online book friends in real life and go on a beautiful hike… but you’re too busy reveling in each other’s company to notice that you take a wrong turn… and then you end up walking in the wrong direction much farther than anyone of you intended… I’m sore and exhausted today, but love all the bookish friends I’ve found 💚
(we agreed the last pic was very “get off the road, quick!”)

“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien— I cannot express my love for these stories enough. They are such a beautiful part of my life.

This vintage Tolkien book set is one of my very favorite collections!! The books have a lovely natural aesthetic about them that feels so true to Tolkien.

The cover art is by J.R.R. Tolkien himself!

#qotd Which cover is your favorite?? And when did you first discover a love for Tolkien’s books??

Another San Diego Comic Con in the books!!

Thank you SO MUCH to @primevideo and their @theringsofpower power team for inviting me to another incredible event in preparation for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 🥹

I feel so unbelievably fortunate to be invited to partake in events like this and it means the world to come together with other creators and Tolkien enthusiasts. I couldn’t be more grateful to the whole Rings of Power team for organizing this trip for us and to all of the wonderful people I had the pleasure to hang out with all weekend! I could gush forever about how much I love you all and cherish all the SDCC mems 😭

We got to watch the trailer for season 2 and it looks SO GOOD I’m beyond excited to watch it and maybe get a new RoP cosplay in the works 👀👀

Thank you again @primevideo and @theringsofpower !! ✨ #primevideocreator #theringsofpower #sdcc
