~𝗟𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲?~

Seventeen years apart, Crash Davis in 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝘿𝙪𝙧𝙝𝙖𝙢 (1988) and Denny Davies in 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 (2005) wear what looks like virtually the same green bomber jacket, the same MA-1 style, right down to the distinctive orange lining.

A coincidence? A deliberate nod to Crash Davis? What if Denny Davies is what Crash Davis might have looked like 17 years later?

Either way, a great little detail connecting two of the most unmistakably KC characters of his career.

John Cassavetes says that acting should be an expression of creative joy and exuberance, with emphasis put on the character's creation of "masks" in the process of interacting with other people he also says that he put actors in a position where they may make asses of themselves without feeling they're revealing things that will eventually be used against them. That is how I feel when I direct interview films which are non fiction films with on screen interviewers. They wouldn't appeal to people as much as documentaries. I prefer directing interview films because when the people see me on camera they feel more comforatable. When you can to see the interviewer you can a whole different perspective and you get a fan perspective. When you see interviewers on camera when it's in interview films about actors or singers lives you learn more about the interviewee just by seeing the interviewer and they work better when the interviewer is able to engage you into the topic. One example is Tom Petty Heartbreakers Beach Party. The interviewer is Cameron Crowe when he was interviewing Tom Petty he brought a warmth to the interviewer and the most showed a good example of friendship. It was fun to see in a time when we see a lot of movies where people are lonely. Cameron Crowe seems so warm with a lot of heart that whenever he does interviewing for a non fiction movie he deserves to be seen on camera interviewing the subject. I know he is doing the interviewing for an upcoming Richie Furay documentary and I could do anything to have him be seen in it and not be seen briefly. By the way I do not call documentaries bad movies. If you want to go to my Cameron Crowe group come here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PearlJam20withCamCrow/
