Tonight!

Donovan Beck is an author, filmmaker, advocate, and multi-hyphenate storyteller dedicated to redefining how we talkabout mental health, creativity, and ourselves, especially online. Through the lens of poetry and filmmaking, Donovan creates a safe place on social media for people to embrace vulnerability in their daily lives and use social media platforms like TikTok & Instagram for good. Donovan has launched his second book in March of 2025, a multi-form work on hope, creativity, and mental health, taking a poet’s view on “the aftermath of despair.” Sunbreak: Notes on Hope is published by Andrews McMeel Universal.

Accessibility information: The portion of the Cantab where the poetry show is hosted is accessible by one flight of stairs. There is seating available as well as standing room. We highly encourage the use of masks and have them available for anyone who wants one, but they are not required, per venue management.
There are two single-stall, gender neutral bathrooms. Both require stepping onto a slight ledge to access. No flashing lights are used and no music is played over the speakers throughout the show; in general, the room is dimly lit/dark throughout, but can often get loud from conversations occurring. Please message us with any specific questions and we will get back to you ASAP.

👀 Will you look at that!? 👀

Boston was a PARTY! What a show, packed with poets with sharp pens. It was truly a privilege to feature at a show that’s been around since 1992!

Special shoutout to @mylesdoespoems for hosting and facilitating such an amazing space. And thank you @themindofsol for showing me around Boston and keeping me company! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

I’d be happy doing this every day for the rest of my life; and I’ll never forget the people I’m meeting out on this tour run. ☄️ Two shows left: Tuesday in New York, Thursday in Philly. Legendary times with @dylanreesemusic and @bowdizz9. Be there. Let’s bring it home this week!
