There’s no greater compliment than being trusted by a family again and again with the moments that matter most.

Over the past four years, we’ve had the incredible honor of planning and designing three of the Nelson family weddings. First Rachel’s. Then Haley’s. And now, Deanna’s.
Being asked to be the planner for a family’s most important celebrations speaks to the relationships we continuously work to build with our clients.

Deanna told us throughout the planning process that she wouldn’t have trusted anyone else with her wedding day. That kind of trust is never taken for granted and it’s exactly what we strive to create with every couple we work with.

Wedding planning, to us, has never been just about executing a timeline or producing a beautiful event. It’s about getting to know our clients, understanding what matters most to them, and becoming someone they feel completely comfortable trusting with one of the biggest days of their lives.

After four years of working with the Nelson family, this wedding felt less like returning to a client and more like returning to family. We knew their people, recognized familiar faces, and got to watch a relationship that began with one wedding continue through three major milestones.

That is the kind of client relationship we hope to build every time: one rooted in trust, care, collaboration and the confidence that when the next big milestone comes, they know they can trust us to be by their side.

Standing room only at last night’s FIELDS OF ASPHODEL launch event! I am absolutely floored by how many people came out to celebrate this book—from family and friends to fellow authors and readers who I had the honor of meeting for the first time. You all made this night mythically beautiful, and I will treasure its memory for the rest of my life. 🌸💗

Thank you to @anovelromancebookstore for hosting this event (you all are legendary pros), and to @stgibsonauthor for being the perfect conversation partner. All night, I felt so at ease, and I am so thrilled to have finally taken home my ANR Louisville Slugger bat!

Thank you to @themixingbar for GORGEOUS cookies, to my favorite thrift store @nittygrittyvintage for the 1930s dress, and to @frannys.seafood for the delectable post-launch oysters. Last night was a celebration of Louisville talent in so many ways.

FIELDS OF ASPHODEL is a story that helped me fall in love with writing again. While it has moments of darkness, ultimately it is a story of hope, forgiveness, and regaining what was once thought to be forever lost. Writing this book felt like coming home, and I hope it feels the same for all of you now that it is out in the world. 🫶💐🦋

I can’t wait to do it all again in Lexington on Monday, Charleston on Wednesday, and St. Louis on Friday. If you’re near any of those stops, I’d love for you to come out and celebrate with us! 🥳
