Local mom Jules Ferdowsi started a parenting platform called @themommyarchives in 2023.

It’s since grown into a community of over 4,100 local families that The Mommy Archives connects through curated events, social gatherings, and charitable initiatives.

One of The Mommy Archives’ next events is taking place right here in the neighborhood: On November 8, Ferdowsi is hosting a Family Dance Party at Williamsburg’s @moxywilliamsburg Hotel (353 Bedford Ave.) 👯‍♀️

The event is one of The Mommy Archives’ charitable initiatives and supports @roomtogroworg and @singlemomsofbk, two organizations doing meaningful work for local families.

Room to Grow helps families build a strong foundation for their children during the critical early years. The Williamsburg-based Single Moms of Brooklyn (SMOB) supports single mothers through community, emotional support, and resources.

“As a member of SMOB myself, the organization is especially meaningful to me,” Ferdowsi told Greenpointers.

The Mommy Archives’ Family Dance Party will take place on Sunday, November 8 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

It will be an afternoon of music, movement, and “plenty of reasons to get up and dance together.”

There will be a DJ, a photo booth, face painting, glitter tattoos, arts and crafts for little artists and grown-ups, pickleball and cornhole, and kid-friendly snacks, all of which are included with a ticket.

More food and drinks options will also be available for purchase separately, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Tickets are $25 for guests aged 13 and up. Children aged 2-12 are $10, and kids under 2 are free. Purchase at the link in @themommyarchives bio 🎉

When you teach a child to garden, you show them how to grow their own future.

Thank you so much @themommyarchives for having us. We learned about gardening and harvesting at @mccarrendemogarden . It was a great first step with a yummy ending.

I am looking forward to our next adventure.

🌿 Trees just wanna have fun(ds!)

Our parks are such a huge part of our kids’ childhoods — and keeping them clean, green, welcoming and thriving matters to all of us.

On October 1, a group of Wriggle parents will be joining North Brooklyn Parks Alliance for their 2026 Parks Gala, helping support the people and projects working to improve our local parks and public spaces for our community. 💚

It's a fun, unique chance to party with purpose! Every dollar helps NBK Parks steward parks and open spaces that are vibrant, adaptable, and built to last.

Come dance, eat, drink and celebrate the future of North Brooklyn with us beneath the Kosciuszko Bridge. A bunch of Wriggle parents will be there, and we’d love to see you too!

Mia had a blast at the community garden, we watered plants, planted seeds, picked tomatoes & basil. Mia really got into the dirt and loved it! Should we ask her if she ate some?
