I had a lot of fun doing this the first time and sharing my appreciation for you guys and here I am doing it again! And maybe I’m just using an excuse to flex my still existing square grid while I still can heh. But in all seriousness go check my friends out! You’ll thank me later. 🫶🏼

Happy Monday to everyone! I hope that all is well, whenever you are.
I was looking at my bookshelf the other day and thought: there is a lot of yellow-ish books here, why not do a flatlay? And to think I wasn’t much of a flatlay person before.. now I love them so much! Anyway. While we’re at it, @goghscafe tagged me on a post I found so cool a few days ago, so here’s my answer to the following question.

𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵?

I’d like to visit:
🍊Queendom of Inys, Draconic Kingdom of Yscalin & Domain of Lasia (The Priory of the Orange Tree) — imagine that roadtrip!
🪦 The Ninth House (The Locked Tomb) — Because why not, that’s my vibe.
🐺 Kaer Morhen (The Witcher)
🐋 Arcadia Bay (Life is Strange)
🦌 The Six Duchies (The Farseer Trilogy)

I’ve tagged a few people here so feel free to participate or not -no pressure, either way I would love to know your answers 👀

𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘶 𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘧 𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘻-𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳 ?

Pour ma part :
🍊Queendom of Inys, Draconic Kingdom of Yscalin & Domain of Lasia (Le Prieuré de l’Oranger) — imaginez un peu ce voyage !
🪦 The Ninth House (Le Tombeau Scellé) — Parce que pourquoi pas, c’est totalement ma vibe.
🐺 Kaer Morhen (The Witcher)
🐋 Arcadia Bay (Life is Strange)
🦌 Le Royaume des Six-Duchés (L’Assassin Royal)

N’hésitez pas à participer si ça vous tente, je suis curieuse de connaître vos réponses et destinations 👀 J’ai tagué quelques personnes mais sans obligation bien sûr !

The Colour Challenge🎨✨

What happens when two readers who love the same genre have to choose one of their favourite books for each category? Well, one, sweat and tough decisions are involved because it’s so hard to pick just one. Second, we wanted to try to make sure our all-time favourite fit into a colour, shoutout to special editions for making that happen. And three, anyone reading this post needs to add these books to their TBR!🙂‍↕️

When we saw @neverending.story.mp3, @jenslibraryjems, @minnas.bookshelf do it, we immediately thought it’d be nice to add our version and to finally do a challenge together!👯‍♀️

💭Any favourite book or colour of yours here?

Match The Album Challenge 🐴🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🎀
Thanks for the tag @lostinfictionalplaces and @melreadssbooks !!

The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is the album that took over my spotify wrapup, it took over our household, it took over my life. I think the moment i first listened to Pink Pony Club and read the lyrics I sat at my work desk and cried. (I still will cry if I’ve had a couple drinks and it plays lmao) 😆

I wanted to match the albums colors here but also its soul and to who these songs are dedicated to. I tried to cram in as many books as I could in the shot along with some of my Pride stuff from last year 🥰

And yes that is a signed CD insert!! Fun fact, my wife and I went to see her in a tiny venue here that held 1,500 right before she skyrocketed to fame. It was a surreal experience hearing Good Luck, Babe! before it was released ✨ and the signature is smeared because i had to hold it in my sweaty hand the whole time so im extra careful with it 😂

Chappell always stands up for her community and I’m obsessed with the fact that her whole thing is shes from the midwest because thats where im from 😭 the fact that she toured just in small midwest towns 🫶🏽🫶🏽

qotd: what is your favorite Chappell Roan song?

edit: oops forgot the point of a challenge post is to tag other people too 😂😂 tagged some of ya!

And the January came to an end,….already?!
My small January wrap up—

#qotd what was your fav book in January?

Saw this almost everywhere, so thought of why not creating the post atleast to make a visible track of the books I’ve read. Idk how come people think this month was the longest. For me it was just darted in and out and I got to say hello feb! Slag off man.
Anyways, I don’t and can’t read more than 5 books in a month, so here are some amazing books I read—

The books I read in jan 2025–
📚Crying in H mart by @jbrekkie [5.0]
📚The wall by Marlen Haushofer [3.5]
📚The Penguin book of Korean short stories[4.5]
📚East of Eden by John Steinbeck [5.0]
📚Diary of a void by Emi Yagi [4.0]

2025 is already feeling so much to me in terms of my mental well being and I’m all over the place.(not in a bad way though) trying very best to keep myself on track. I absolutely loved EoE but idts I’d ever wanna review it. Will try my best in the future, if possible.

I celebrated my father’s (appa’s) 57th birthday yesterday and just wished for my parents well being further. Having some frequent forthcoming visits to my hometown, I’m arranging some sort of things where my family can gather and have some beautiful moments ahead.

Ofc like all of you, i bought bunch of another set of books so that the new month brings in more peace and power!

And would make a quick #whatthisweek in here—

READING AND LISTENING
Staring Two on a Tower by Thomas Hardy as soon as possible and I’d love to read another Japanese fiction book simultaneously. @brunomars @ladygaga @roses_are_rosie @sexyyred new song is something off the charts I never thought would listen or enjoy something like this(but only for gaga!)

WATCHING AND DOING
Recently started Reply 1988 and loved the nostalgia taking over my brain. Although none of this existed when I was a child, but the Asian within me knows that it does. Such a beautiful show!
Convinced myself for the 98657 time that I can show atleast a page of my drafts in here!😅🙈 there’s nothing wrong in it. So yeah, planning to do that (gulping)

This was a quick challenge I did, tagging some of y’all. Pls consider yourself tagged!🌸

🧦What item of clothing are not leaving without on a cold winter day? A cozy sweater!

☕️Hot chocolate or apple cider? It depends. My current mood is hot chocolate because I recently had a great one at a farmer’s market lol

🌨️Snowball fight or snowman? Snowman because I’ve only experienced enough snow to make one once ☃️

❄️Tagged a few amazing accounts to join in!
