At @snapesprintworks
Sunday 25th October

@small_hours_listening welcomes @themthererecords fave Otis Jordan for a rare Preston show. Otis will perform alongside Ike Goldman and Ike will also perform a special solo show.

Otis Jordan

Born in Manchester, and based in Glasgow, Otis Jordan is a musician and artist who makes experimental folk music with a range of acoustic instruments, electronics, field recordings and homemade instruments. He has released music on GLARC, Them There, Twisted Nerve and Folklore Tapes.

Ike Goldman

“Ike Goldman spent too long writing this bio and eventually realised they didn’t know quite what to say. Hopefully by the time the train pulls into Preston they will have figured it out, but either way they will be sure to sing from the heart.”

Less than a week to go until we're joined by the almighty GNOD! 👁️🍄

The current live incarnation of GNOD is characterised by a crushing, cataclysmic new protest music whose call to arms gravitas offers a meaningful defiance to Austerity Britain.

Including further sonic adventures with special guests dull. and MILK EYED SIGH.

That's GNOD + dull. & Milk Eyed Sigh - The Continental, Preston - Thursday 3rd September!

It’s been a long long trip for me on @nts_radio with next months show being a ten year journey around europe since my first show in the old studio! I’m really happy how the show has developed with a clear turning point being probably the show I made about braille satellite in 2019 a couple of days after I got my first audio recorder! Also I should say that having Carl on the show and Ben @n_om.club in the support role ! Really felt like the Manchester family was there to help guide us ! Big shout to @bunny_hoova for pure positive vibes and kindness in the studio . Would like to make a show with you some day soon , Let’s do that ! My first show in the old nts studio was recorded january 2016 , wild !

Mentions 4 @spitportrait @the_doe_________ @themthererecords @sholtodobie @moongsoul @_kimdavidbots_ @tomboogizm etc etc … funny I played one of Tom’s first Tunes in that first show and one of his newest ‘Rat Heart’ tunes in this one ! Will post a link to the old show from 2016 in stories .

A vision both ghastly and hallucinatory, 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 creates alternative emo pop music that reflects the shimmer and unease of late capitalism and the saccharine gaze of the digital world. The Paris-based cross-disciplinary artist moves fluidly through painting, poetry, and other forms of conceptual art alongside music, shaping a distinctive bedroom production style marked by filtered high notes, ripped samples, cut-up genres, and processed vocals.⁣⁣
.⁣⁣
𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 is a Manchester-based artist whose work drifts between poetry, visual art, and creative experiments. She’s drawn to the complexities of love, the stories people carry, and the energy that lives in the club. Her art invites you in, yet never shows you everything at once.⁣⁣
.⁣⁣
Joshua Horsley and Carl Brown form 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, an experimental project comprising semi-improvised interplay between cello (Horsley) and electronics (Brown). Powders move through concrète and classical modes to shimmering noise and textured Fourthworld ambient, always treated with an experimental spirit and a minimalist sleight.⁣⁣

A short film for the song ‘The Mutter’ from my new album.

by Nick Jordan

The film features archive material from 1940s educational biology films, made by director Agnes Mary Field, including microscopic timelapse footage of the common pinmould, a fungal plant pathagen that forms and spreads on various kinds of damp or decaying organic matter.
