On Tuesday evening we gathered creative career women from across Birmingham for the second instalment of Off Duty Club for a night of good food, good wine and good company. Before the event we asked our guests what they wanted out of the evening and the resounding response was to meet other women with similar interests. It was amazing to hear how others had longed for an event like this - a casual evening where people can collaborate in the future and even become friends. The night began in the front bar overlooking sun-soaked York Road, and then we moved upstairs for cheese, wine and conversation with the inspiring @jodannabird who shared her journey to the top of the creative industry, becoming a TedX speaker, Cannes Future Lions judge and heading up roles at @loungeunderwear and @gymshark. Jo talked about the importance of Personal Branding and gave us tangible actions to takeaway and help in our own journeys. We ate, we drank, we became friends. Thank you to everyone who came along, we can’t wait for the next ODC in November.
