Another Major Media Win for POP-A-THON 🍿❤️@thenarrativematters This morning, we received exciting news from journalist @gsouldier that he feature on POP-A-THON has not only been published through Community News Networks, but has also been picked up by one of the national platforms he writes for @thenarrativematters

In a time when many businesses are quietly struggling, this story isn’t about popcorn. It’s about entrepreneurship, job preservation, community investment, resilience, and the power of transparency.

For six years, @iamtonydavis has worked to build more than a business. He’s built opportunities, created jobs, invested in St. Louis, and shown what is possible when vision meets determination. @poppophurray POP-A-THON was created to invite the community into that journey and remind people that supporting local businesses has a direct impact on local families.

A special thank you to Lacey for seeing the bigger picture and helping tell this story with care, authenticity, and purpose. Your willingness to highlight not only the challenge, but the mission behind the movement, means more than words can express.

As we’ve said all week:
🍿 3 Days.
🍿 3 Locations. TODAY @poppophurray.downtown
🍿 1 Mission.

Every purchase. Every share. Every visit. Every story told helps protect jobs, strengthen a local business, and keep a St. Louis success story moving forward.

Thank you, Lacey, for using your platform to amplify a story that deserves to be heard.

The Newsletter turns 21 years old. What better way to celebrate by reliving all the great events. Including the iconic ReMix Awards Show in 2017, The Blueberry Hill's Duck Room. The ReMix Awards Show returns soon for its 17th semi-season

What if every grocery run helped fund the neighborhood?

Community Grocers Be at Ease in Cleveland is using a “Spending With Purpose” model that routes a portion of everyday purchases back into local nonprofits so community support is built into the business, not left to fundraising.

If you’re in Cleveland, the grand opening is Sunday, January 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM at 3203 West 25th Street.
What would change in your city if more local spending stayed local?

I am grateful to the Arthritis Foundation, The Narrative Matters, and At Home Care Health for the opportunity to share preventive health information with some of our most valued citizens, our seniors. It is one of the best ways to start my 2025 closeout.

Stay tuned, there is more meaningful work ahead.
