Nashville may be known for producing musical talent, but some of its most compelling emerging voices are still sitting in classrooms.

Marching Into Greatness: Voices of Tomorrow, the second original album from the @metroschools Visual and Performing Arts Department, gives those young creators a professional platform to show exactly what they can do.

As Visual and Performing Arts Director Franklin Willis puts it, “As educators, we often talk about student voice, but I believe we have to create opportunities where students can actually use that voice to shape something meaningful.”

522 people. One unforgettable night. Countless lives waiting to be RESTORED. 🖤✨

This was bigger than gospel music. Bigger than a concert. This was a room full of people believing that broken lives can be rebuilt and new beginnings are possible.

To every artist, sponsor, volunteer, and person who showed up — THANK YOU.

Special love to our presenting sponsor, Flora Templeton Stuart, for believing in the vision.

The music stopped. The mission didn’t. ❤️

RESTORED 2026 was just the beginning.

For Your GRAMMY® Consideration

Marching Into Greatness: Voices of Tomorrow

I’ve always believed that when we invest in young people and create opportunities for their gifts to shine, extraordinary things happen.

This album is a testament to that belief and the brilliance of our students, educators, and community partners.

To my fellow Recording Academy members, I invite you to listen and experience what our young artists have created.

Proud of what we’ve accomplished. Even prouder of what it represents.

DOVEAWARDS2026! It is an honor to be apart of an amazing movement, @the.choirroom as a board member and us be nominated for 2 Dove Awards! Matt Mayer and myself were chosen to represent and accept those awards in case of a win (We missed you @dwanhill).
As if that wasn’t enough my brother @theofficialpercybady asked me to assist him with getting a choir together for THE RICHARD SMALLWOOD TRIBUTE and get them vocally ready for what would be an unforgettable gift to his family, The Richard Smallwood foundation, the @gmadoveawards and all those who loved and supported him. I called my beanie baby @thenatebean and told him what I had to do, but knew he and @thetajlondon would be my anchors…. I’ve used them for a long time now (we miss you GREG); God told me to use my music dept members and extend from there… I knew who to use where and when, to produce what was needed to mimic VISION but with a distinct sound of its own. Taj and Nate gave me suggestions according to a standard that they have become accustomed to and MAGIC happened! From the 1st note, the anointing permeated that studio in pre-production and I knew GOD was up to something amazingly awesome! “TRIBUTE”, the Choir YOU WERE PHENOMENAL AND I BELIEVE HEAVEN SMILED! You have been verified by God and his Directors @donaldlawrence and @markhubbard1015 on earth🤭! This was my “performance”…. Doing the work to get the work done! I KNOW who I am!!!! A vocal arranger, producer and vocal stylist & writer is it…. Not a choir director. The look had to be flawless and represent @smallrich and everything he touched… The Smallwood Singers and Vision! I usually create my looks but THIS time God sent @mrtaylorro to “do him” without my input (that was hard); but this is what happens when u LET GO AND LET GOD! These hues are the colors that Vision have often been seen in… embodying ALL that this tribute was designed for!!! Add @hairbyherman and me on make-up & accessories and uhmmm IMMA GO WIT A YES! Thank you @bassland as this was a night for you too!! Look at God twinning us OFAN for life😇! To be continued… #sanfranklin #doves #choirroom #RichardSmallwoodtribute #VOCALPRODUCER

This season of obedience and waiting has stretched me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. The growing pains have been real, and if I’m being completely transparent, there have been moments when they’ve felt nearly unbearable.

Because sometimes obedience is hard. Sometimes trusting God’s timing is hard. Sometimes you can know you’re exactly where He told you to be and still wonder how much longer you’re going to have to sit in the waiting.

This weekend was exactly what my heart needed …. Jesus, my girlfriends, lots of laughter, praise, and prayer! And a few rounds of Spades never hurts. 😁

I may still be waiting. I may still be growing. And obedience may still hurt sometimes. But I was reminded this weekend that Jesus sees me. He hasn’t forgotten me. And that it’s gonna be alright. 🙌🏻

We’re breaking generational curses and tearing down the stigma that major artists and up-and-coming artists can’t genuinely support one another! 🙌🏽🔥

Nate Bean & 4G are on the road, and Javonta Patton, who’s in Nashville for the Dove Awards, came through to show us love and support! That’s what it’s all about—artists supporting artists! 💯

Y’all make sure you grab Javonta Patton’s album, Choir Music, out NOW! It’s climbing, so let’s help push it to #1! 🎶🔥
