first themed quilt!

since i started sewing a few years back, i haven’t had the chance to make something whimsy and themed so this year i decided to make my nephew a campfire glow quilt using the rss freaky familiars fq bundle, rifle paper company halloween II fabrics, some other fabrics that i’m not recalling and of course a minky backing.

stoked that i get to send it out tomorrow, just in time for the holiday 🎃💀👻

Spooky season is here!! Today I’m sharing my Meadowland quilt by @thencamejune featuring Halloween Classics by @riflepaperco

I love the classic and nostalgic prints in the Rifle Paper Co. Halloween fabrics. Only a few mores weeks and then I’ll be switching this quilt out to Christmas.

Proof that you don’t need a big, fancy sewing room to make beautiful things! 🪡🤍

As someone who does ALL of her sewing at the kitchen table, I’ve learned to get a little creative when it comes to making the most of a small workspace!

My ironing board doubles as extra workspace, my @olisohome irons are some of my favorite sewing tools (and totally worth upgrading to!), my @thegypsyquilter wool pressing mat is my bestie and my latest little hack might be my favorite yet!

I found these suction cup clips and realized I could turn the mirror above my ironing board into a makeshift design wall! They stick right to the glass, hold my quilt blocks beautifully, and can be moved around or taken down whenever I need to. You could do the exact same thing with a window, too! I linked them in my bio if you’re interested!

Would I love to have a dedicated sewing room someday? Absolutely. But for now, I’m learning to make the most of the space I have, and honestly, there’s something really special about that. 🤎 What are some of your favorite space-saving sewing hacks? I’d love to hear them! 🫶🏼

I started this quilt top over a year ago and I finally finished it this weekend on my retreat with some friends at @cedarcityquiltretreat !!! This is the Goldie Quilt by @thencamejune and I used @rubystarsociety “Favorite Flowers” collection and it’s magnificent! It’s going to be backed by a stunning Minky from @shannonfabrics and I’m going to be cuddling up with it all winter long!!!
