#firstappearancefriday ⚡️

With the release of VisionQuest this week (it was very good!)
It felt like a good time to show off this beautiful copy of Avengers 55!

1st appearance of Ultron!

This is one of my favorites in my PC! Purchased it as a 9.0 had it cracked cleaned and pressed for a Roy Thomas signing several years ago and was shocked and thrilled when it came back a gorgeous 9.6!!

What did you think of VisionQuest?!? Share any thoughts in the comments below!

I’m debating a $6 shipping charge on a back issue while Brayden and his wife are worried the guest dock won’t fit their second boat. 😭

I’m just sayin’…

NYCC 2026 did NOT disappoint with a number of announcements coming from the big boys and some smaller publishers along with hundreds of exclusives to grab. Of all the news, what are you anticipating most?

Does the SIKTC movie news sound like it’s finally going to turn into something? And does that bring more attention to the Tynion books?

Does Marvel’s slate of new Disney+ shows and comic launches move the needle or prime the pump for the Modnight Universe?

Did DC take the day simply by increasing focus further on the Absolute Universe?

Let us know what you think in the comments!

GRAIL ACQUIRED!😭🔥

After almost 7 years of collecting, I can finally say I own my ULTIMATE GRAIL! Tales of Suspense 39, the FIRST APPEARANCE OF IRON MAN! I’m still in disbelief that this book is actually mine!😭

Ever since I first started collecting, owning this book has been one of my biggest dreams, and I still can't believe I finally made it happen!

I still remember going to see the first Avengers movie in theaters with my dad back in 2012 and seeing Iron Man on the big screen. Of course, back then I didn't know much about the comics, but I knew one thing: I LOVED Iron Man, and I always have! To think that all these years later, I get to hold the comic that started it all is just mind-blowing. Even though it's an entry-level copy, I couldn't be happier or more grateful to finally call this book mine!

First off, a HUGE thank you to @karmic.kamikaze and @thecomicunderground for helping me sell off a majority of my collection to make this dream a reality. I seriously couldn't have done it without y'all! Also, a massive shoutout to @joshscomicbooks for helping make this deal happen, and thank you to @cottocollectscomics for making me the proud owner of a TOS 39!

And last, but certainly not least, thank you to everyone in this amazing comic community who has supported me throughout the years. From the people I've met to the friendships I've made, it's been an incredible journey, and I'm beyond grateful to have been able to share it with all of you!

I honestly have no idea what's next for my collecting journey, but I can't wait to find out! Here's to many more years of collecting, making memories, and sharing this hobby with all of you! 🍻 ✌️

Life is busy. Two urgent things to focus on in the midst of the craziness.

1. Slow down to focus on God and pray. Don’t skip. Make the time

2. Eat. It’s easy to skip meals. Don’t. If you need help with your meals and protein in those meals. Our Pro-Blend helps you get high quality protein in.

First gaining popularity on Whatnot, much to the chagrin of some comic collectors, blind bags are now common place in LCSs around the country. Image seems to have mastered the craft best launching them most famously for Battle Beast and Terminal premiere issues, but DC, Marvel, and Keenspot now frequently employ them as well.

Whether you like them or not, are blind bags good for the comic hobby?
