@restaurante_filandon es uno de ellos.

🇪🇸 The Government of the Community of Madrid is currently assessing the project, with final details expected to be disclosed later this month. This follows two years of development by the Torrequebrada Group, which assembled a specialist team of architects, engineers, environmentalists, and equestrian experts, ranging from breeders to showjumping judges.

The TQ Horses Ciudad del Caballo master plan features polo and equestrianism as its business backbone. Scheduled for construction in 2027, the project involves an investment exceeding € 320 million, aiming to position Spain as a leader in hosting international equestrian events.

Endorsed by Cushman & Wakefield, the feasibility plan projects the creation of up to 1,500 jobs. Set across 100 hectares, the complex caters to all disciplines, such as showjumping, dressage, and horseball. Designed to meet International Equestrian Federation standards, it provides 2,500 boxes, 19 arenas (100×50 metres), and a high-tech main arena (275×180 metres). For polo, the blueprint includes two standard grass pitches (275×180 metres) and a multifunctional stick-and-ball space.

The development incorporates training programmes for equine trades, including farriers, physiotherapists, and saddlers. It will house an educational centre with a student residence, an international hub, and a higher education campus, with the aim of becoming the official headquarters of the National Equestrian School of Spain.

In hospitality, Grupo Urrechu will manage a five-star hotel and 80 tourist apartments. Complementary sports facilities feature a multipurpose pavilion with padel courts, a gym, a swimming pool, and a physiotherapy centre.

Long-term viability focuses on resource efficiency. The project includes planting 2,200 holm oaks, utilising renewable energy, and implementing advanced water treatment. Notably, the boxes will feature an automated vacuum-manure collection system, repurposing waste as organic fertiliser.

One of the best pieces of advice I received a few months ago came from a dear friend.

At the time, I was trying to figure out what to do during this in-between chapter of life while I sorted out where I wanted to live next. His advice was simple:

“Go do all the things your heart desires in this season, because you have the ability to do so. Today will never come back to you.”

I’m so grateful I listened.

Madrid has always been a city I love, but spending a few weeks here living more like a local than a tourist has been something special. Finding a neighborhood I adore, settling into a temporary home, working from cafés, walking familiar streets, and simply experiencing the rhythm of everyday life here has been such a gift. Thank you @thenewmadrid for finding me the perfect home ❤️ 🏠

As founders and entrepreneurs, we spend so much of our lives making decisions. We carry the weight of our companies, our teams, and the people who depend on us. Decision fatigue is real.

Which is why I’ve come to appreciate something even more: friends who gently push you outside of your comfort zone and encourage you to fully live your life.

The friends who remind you that there is a big world waiting to be explored. The ones who encourage you to take the trip, try the thing, move to the city, say yes to the experience, and embrace the chapter you’re in rather than rushing to the next one.

Those people are truly such a gift.

They offer perspective when you feel stuck. They help you see possibilities when all you can see are logistics and decisions. And sometimes, they give you permission to choose joy when you’ve become too focused on responsibility.

This season has reminded me that not every chapter needs to be optimized. Some chapters are meant to be experienced.

And for that, I’m incredibly grateful. Comment GUIDE for all my favorite spots in Madrid.
