This is where the vision starts coming together. ✨

A look inside the selection process with @thenextstopcollective as we narrow down materials, compare samples, and find just the right combinations for their Charleston Single.

We can’t wait to see these selections make their way from the sample table to the finished spaces. 🤍

If you’re looking for an easy East Coast beach getaway, Oak Island, North Carolina deserves a spot on your list.

We stayed at an Airbnb right on The Point, which gave us the best of both worlds—beautiful ocean views and easy access to calmer water on the other side for swimming when the current was stronger. Between beach days, pickleball matches, and afternoons at the pool, it was the perfect mix of relaxation and family fun.

One of our favorite parts of the trip was hiring a private chef for our last night. It was such a special way to close out the vacation and one I’d absolutely recommend if you’re celebrating something or simply want one memorable evening before heading home.

Make time to visit nearby Southport, too. Burney’s Bakery is a must—the peanut butter pie and 12-layer chocolate cake are absolutely to die for. The downtown area is full of charm, and there are several cute coffee shops perfect for a slow morning. If your timing works out, check out the farmers markets in both Southport and Oak Island.

Oak Island itself has so many fun local spots to explore—from acai bowls and surf shops to ice cream stops and donut shops. It’s the kind of beach town that feels laid-back but still has plenty to do.

All in all, such a wonderful family vacation—and even better knowing it’s just a relatively short drive from Charleston.

Have you been to Oak Island? What’s your favorite beach town within driving distance of home?

One thing that stood out from my latest podcast conversation with @bdotburris co-founder of @thenextstopcollective was hearing how many mistakes came from trying to figure everything out alone in the beginning.

@thenextstopcollective built a successful short-term rental business, but one thing early on nearly cost them growth: not leveraging experts sooner.

From property management and guest experience to pricing strategy, design, and operations, scaling a profitable Airbnb business requires systems and the right people in your corner.

A lot of business owners wait too long to ask questions, outsource, or lean on people with experience. Sometimes that ends up costing more time and money than the investment would have in the first place.

$100K in Airbnb — and they wouldn’t change a thing.

I asked my guest @thenextstopcollective the question every investor wonders: knowing what you know now, would you start over differently?

Their answer: no. Because the play wasn’t picking the perfect first property, it was leveraging it to buy the next one. And the one after that.

That’s the difference between owning an Airbnb and building an Airbnb portfolio.
