@handbagchicago "now celebrating its 25th year, is pleased to present a revival of the fan favorite Joan Crawford Goes To Hell, written by Artistic Director David Cerda and directed by Cheryl Snodgrass, playing now at The Clutch, Handbag’s boutique performance space at 4335 N. Western Ave. in Chicago. About the Production: Originally produced in 1999 with Sweetback Productions, Joan Crawford Goes To Hell is a roller coaster ride that explores the life of the legendary Hollywood star. The premise? Joan Crawford (David Cerda) dies, goes to hell and is forced to view her life through the eyes of her daughter, Christina (TJ O’Brien) in a tale so big it needs three Joans! Part Mommie Dearest, part biography with a dash of Joan’s lifestyle book, My Way of Life. Joan Crawford Goes to Hell is the perfect summer cocktail for those with a taste for camp" It's deviously hilarious! Oh and the last pic is a throwback when I was Mommy Dearest for Halloween ✨

DESIGNS ON STAGE NOW! Whether you’re a rabid fan of the cult classic “Mommie Dearest”, or if you’re totally new to the lore, you’re gonna find yourself giggling away the evening at “Joan Crawford Goes To Hell” at Hell in a Handbag Productions @handbagchicago This company is my home and my heart…and this show has been waiting to come back for a remount since 1999, before my time with them began! The people asked, and Handbag DELIVERED honey! With 3 main Joan Crawfords telling a tale that is *someone’s* version of her life, we get to see these 3 rip it up, and rip into anyone who dares to stand in their way! (Though the show ultimately has 5 Joans…I won’t give away how you experience the other 2!) Creating these versions of Joan, along with aiding the supporting cast in their looks, was such a treat! (Christina, both youth and adult, is such a favorite of mine!) And now, the show has EXTENDED THROUGH OCT 4! GET YE TO THE THEATRE! 📷: @rickaguilarstudios #makeupartist #makeupdesigner #chicago #chicagotheatre #madcbs
