POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
June 21st, 2016. Some photographs become memories. Others become history. Ten years ago, I had the privilege of documenting the launch of Cîroc Pineapple in Nigeria an event that brought together industry leaders, creatives, celebrities, and tastemakers at Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos. At the time, no one was thinking about “creating history.” We were simply doing the work. Looking back today, these images have become part of a much bigger story. They represent a moment in the evolution of premium spirits, nightlife culture, brand experiences, and event marketing in Nigeria. As photographers, we don’t just capture people.
We preserve culture. Looking through these archives reminds me how much has changed over the last decade. • Brands have evolved.
• Consumer experiences have evolved.
• Nightlife has evolved.
• Drinking culture has evolved.
• Event production has evolved.
• Even my own photography brand has evolved from different logos, different editing styles, and different visions to what M4L represents today. One day, I’ll share more about that journey:
The evolution of branding.
The evolution of nightlife photography.
The stories behind some of Nigeria’s biggest launches.
And hopefully, one day, these photographs will find their way into a public exhibition celebrating the people, brands, and moments that shaped an era. Until then, I’ll keep documenting history one frame at a time. #M4L #thatnightlifeboi #cirocpineaple #cirocboyz #lagosnightlife
