Three ways to enforce racism using public transport 🚍 (Number 3 will shock you 😅): 1️⃣ Bring in double-decker buses and reserve the bottom deck for whites, top deck for blacks. 2️⃣ Design routes to favour settlers and colonial administrators leaving Africans with fewer routes, longer waits and overcrowded rides forcing them to walk. 3️⃣ Charge different fares depending on race making it more expensive for Africans. But we’ve come a long way. Spotted: the NRB Bus. @thenrbbus A 1969 London double-decker, transformed into an inclusive creative hub for young artists, musicians and dreamers. What better way to rewrite urban stories than to turn a tool once used for segregation into a space for collaboration, community and belonging? #UrbanDiary #ThrowbackThursday
