Wishing Favour Omenazu and all the Nigerian Women’s Soccer team the very best of luck this evening versus Comoros in the Olympic Qualifying Series.

As well as being Captain at MK Dons, Favour is an all-round inspiration and a fantastic role model for young women and a great friend of Red Shoe Productions. We are so proud of you for getting the call up to the national team and wish you every success - you’ll hear us shouting from An Rinn!!

GOV. DIRI WOMEN’S PRE-SEASON TOURNAMENT.

*OCHANYA’S SUPERB FREE KICK GIVES NASARAWA AMAZONS VICTORY OVER RIVERS ANGELS.*

Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia has secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Rivers Angels Football Club of Portharcourt on Matchday 4 of the ongoing Governor Douye Diri Women’s Pre-Season Football Tournament in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

The Lafia Landladies dominated the proceeding and the encounter was entertaining , with both teams showing determination and intensity throughout the game.

Nasarawa Amazons broke the deadlock in the 35th minute after winning a free kick just outside the penalty area with Ochanya lsaiah stepping up and produced a superb effort that beat Rivers Angels goalkeeper and found the back of the net.

The goal gave Nasarawa Amazons a 1–0 lead, which they held until half-time.

The second half saw Amazons coming out stronger as they pressed harder in search of a second goal, but Rivers Angels defence remained resolute and denied the Lafia-based side clear scoring opportunities.

Nasarawa Amazons introduced Delight Isaac and Shobowale Olushola to provide additional attacking option , while Deborah and Odoh continued to work tirelessly against the Rivers Angels defence.

Despite their efforts, the Lafialandladies were unable to extend their lead.

At the other end, Nasarawa Amazons defence remained organised and disciplined, making crucial interventions to limit Rivers Angels’ attacking threat at goal.

The final whistle confirmed a well-deserved 1–0 victory for Nasarawa Amazons, with Ochanya’s stunning free kick proving decisive for the team to earn their first three point of the ongoing Pre season tournament.

Nasarawa Amazons FC will return to action on Thursday, October 8, 2026, when they will battle Enugu Rangers Ladies at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State by 3:00pm.
