Life lately…

I get asked a lot lately, how I’m doing, and every time the first word that comes to mind is: surviving 🙋🏼‍♀️

The last 6 months in particular have been tough, personally, professionally, mentally and emotionally.

Working what feels like two full-time jobs while only being paid for one, assignments, exams, long days on placement caring for really sick people, running my business, and trying to keep some sort of life outside of it all… I’m really just putting one foot in front of the other.

If I’m honest, it’s also been one of the most isolating years I’ve had.

I’ve missed birthdays, dinners, catch-ups and a lot of moments with people I care about. I’ve felt guilty for not being able to show up the way I normally would, but sometimes chasing the life you want means making sacrifices that no one else really sees.

The thing I’ve learned this year is that the right people don’t disappear when life gets busy. They quietly remind you they’re there.

The check-in messages. The notes left on my car. The random hugs. The “I’m proud of you” texts. The people who understood that my silence. Those moments have meant more than you’ll probably ever know.

This year has stretched me more than any other. There have been some incredible highs, plenty of setbacks, and a lot of days where I wasn’t sure how I was going to fit everything in. But every challenge has reminded me why I started in the first place.

Whenever I’ve had a spare moment, I’ve spent it with my family. They’ve been the place where I could switch off, reset, and remember what actually matters.

I’ve still got a few more months of this madness before I finish this chapter, and I honestly can’t wait for what’s next.

For now, I’m just grateful that I get to chase something I’m passionate about. Grateful for the people who’ve backed me without expecting anything in return. And grateful that even on the hardest days, I’ve kept showing up.

Here’s to surviving this season… because I know it’s building something pretty special 🤍

Mad love to everyone who showed up and made today’s #SuperSaturday classes something special 🦾🦿..

The energy was next level from the first class to the last.

If you’d like to see a #JoeySpecial become a regular monthly event, show this post some ❤️ and I’ll take care of the rest 😉👌🏿..

This big dump is dedicated to my amazing chosen family (pictured and not pictured) who provided me with so much support and love over the past few weeks. Tysm for so many great memories and adventures and shoulders to cry on. 🫶🏼🕊️
