Our Book Week adventure took our Koki Library Learning Centre students behind the scenes at Theodist’s Print Shop, where little minds got a glimpse into the exciting world of Graphic Design and printing!

The children met Theodist’s Graphic Designer Polen Ikunti and Print Shop team, discovered how creative ideas are turned into brochures, banners, signs and books, and explored the printing process up close. 🖨️📖

The visit was made even more special with the presentation of K50,000 from Mr Shaun Pini, Director Product Manager of Theodist to Leanne Resson, Executive Officer of Buk bilong Pikinini, supporting essential stationery and learning resources across all our Library Learning Centres. ❤️

A huge thank you to Theodist, a Gold Sponsor to BbP, for more than a decade of partnership and for inspiring our little learners to dream big, explore new careers and imagine what they can become! 🌱✨

Buk bilong Pikinini proudly celebrated the graduation of 98 young learners at the UPNG Library Learning Centre 🎓📚

We were honoured to be joined by UPNG Vice Chancellor, Professor Ian Findlay and Mr Cameron Mackellar, CEO of Brian Bell Group, representing our major sponsor, the Sir Brian Bell Foundation, whose continued support has been instrumental in transforming early literacy across Port Moresby and Lae.

A heartfelt thank you to our valued partners and supporters: Theodist, Niunet, Lightspeed, Ilimo Dairy, SVS, Zenag and the Australian High Commission, as well as Sanitarium, Australian Export Consortia and Market 2000 for supporting our Breakfast Program, helping our children learn with happy and healthy hearts.

One of the most touching moments was our show-and-tell session, where each child shared their dream of what they want to become when they grow up filling the room with hope, laughter, and inspiration.

Congratulations to our 2025 graduating class the future of Papua New Guinea is bright because of you! 🌟

📚 Sausage Sizzle & Book Sale with Theodist! 🌭📖

Buk bilong Pikinini extends our heartfelt thank you to Theodist for generously hosting us on Saturday, 1st November 2025, at their Port Moresby and Lae Showroom carparks for our Sausage Sizzle and Book Sale! 🙏

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by — Theodist staff, BbP parents, customers, and donor representatives — for showing your support by purchasing a sausage or a book. 💛

Every kina raised will go directly towards supporting our literacy programs and helping us reach more vulnerable children in 2026. Together, we’re creating a brighter future — one book, one child at a time. 💫
