This year, we’re asking: how do queer people create new worlds, within and beyond the ones they inherit?
Across three days, our films trace the many ways queer lives make home through migration and return, through dreams and unexpected desire, through the communities built in the margins of cities that have no word for what you are.

From a daughter returning home after a same-sex marriage abroad, to a North Korean defector finding queer belonging in Seoul, to the defiant folk music of Thailand‘s most forgotten region ,the programme moves across Asia and its diasporas, following queer people as they leave, stay, and build.

And it doesn’t stop at the screen. Join us for a Shibari workshop on trust and embodied connection, an open writing table for the letters never sent, and stick around for mahjong and karaoke to close out the evenings together.

-
Whether you‘re returning or joining for the first time — just come for the cinema and stay for the connections.

The Night You Erased ~ Feb 2025 ~ 1st AD

My first 1st AD gig, the project that kickstarted my current path. It was a great first project, and I definitely felt a lot of anxiety and stress before (and during) production. I always want to make sure I do a good job and am efficient and as communicative as possible. I was grateful to be surrounded by an amazing crew, cast and client, so all my anxieties washed away as the days kept going. My job is to be the support system for every single crew and cast member, and to create a positive work environment. We spend at least 12hrs a day with each other and it’s much easier (and more fun) when everyone feels seen, heard, safe, and can laugh throughout the day. All the stress is worth it, once you see weeks of planning finally come together to create a tangible creative object.

I was clearing out my photos and couldn’t help but reminisce.

This past year has been full of surprises. My god—I’ve met some of the most hardworking, passionate, and wonderful humans I’ve ever encountered. It’s been a dream.

I’m so grateful to have been given opportunities to live some of the greatest experiences of my life, thanks to @zeruiqin @golfin_as_usual @we1ming_wang.

Looking back, I’m flabbergasted by how much not only I, but everyone around me, has grown. That’s the most beautiful part, seeing the people I care about thrive, doing what they love.

I love all of you. Thank you for being part of my journey. Each of you has contributed something special, and you’ll always have a place in my heart.

There are so so so many people who I couldn’t add, but you know who you are.

“The Night You Erased” is out now on Vigloo!

To the cast and crew: I honestly don’t know how we did it. I keep thinking back on the pressure and sheer mountain of things that could’ve broken us…but somehow, YOU all made it happen. I’m still in awe. Truly. Mesmerized by your talent, your drive, your focus, your care. Every single one of you brought more than just skill; you brought heart, and somehow turned an impossible task into something alive, something great. I’ll never forget this. Thank you for showing me what’s possible when everyone shows up with fire in their chest.

The first thing I said to you all on day one during the safety meeting is that filmmaking is equal parts art and chaos— and the only way to make that balance work is through teamwork and collaboration. Every single one of you stepped up, poured your hearts into this project, and brought something uniquely your own to this set.

To the cast, you didn’t just bring these characters to life— you gave them layers, humanity, comedy in the truth, and charm that I know will stay with audiences long after the last episode. Jessica and Rick, your chemistry and commitment elevated every scene. Watching you two work has been nothing short of magic.

To the crew, the unsung heroes of every shot, every frame, and every moment— you turned challenges into opportunities, long days into laughter, and chaos into art. You’ve set a standard for what true collaboration looks like, and I’m endlessly grateful for your hard work, creativity, and resilience.

This story started with a script, but it became so much more because of all of you. Thank you for trusting the process, for giving it your all, and for making “Billionaire Love Starts With Lies” a project we can all be proud of. And thank you all for giving me the greatest vertical directorial debut I could’ve hoped for.

Ladies and gentlemen, that’s a PICTURE WRAP!!
