THE DIARY OF A HOPELESS ROMANTIC Chapter One: Run This song has followed me through a few different versions of myself. Some of you have heard it live before, some of you may recognise pieces of it, and for a long time it simply existed somewhere between rehearsals, bedrooms, studios and memories. Over time it became the beginning of something much bigger. Run arrives 16 September. This is Chapter One. Artwork by @bosvrou_

SURPRISE!! I just dropped my full album and I could not be prouder of this body of work 💖😭 Link in my bio to stream it 👀 When I started working on this project, I wanted to have fun writing each song and I didn’t want to take myself too seriously. The end result is something better than I ever could have imagined 🥹 10 tracks that you can blast in your car on your way home from a night out… or on your way to Woolies when you’re having a mental breakdown and life just feels overwhelming AF. Hits just as hard in both scenarios ~ believe me 🤣 @theomuldr @jono.greyling @aidin.nortje thank you for creating this magic with me. I have learnt so much in the process about who I want to be and what I want to say as an artist 🥲 @amytjasink @ssophiafrank thank you for co-writing some of these tracks with me. The two of you mean so much to me and those sessions were too much fun! The subtitle of the album is “Unhinged Thoughts of my Thirties” and that’s exactly what this is. A diary of confessions, thoughts and feelings completely unfiltered and at times fairly questionable. There are new tracks on this album that you guys haven’t heard before…. WAKE ME is a killer track and some of my best work about an actual ridiculous dream I had about my husband 🤣 IS SHE HAPPY NOW? Is such a new vibe for me, so nostalgic and I am obsessed with it. SHIRLEY is all about never feeling good enough and probably the most 2000s track we’ve ever made… SLEEP WHEN I’M DEAD is the most honest and vulnerable song I’ve ever written about how I feel about my life and my journey so far. The lyrics on this one are just so good. ROLL THE DICE is so special as I wrote it with one of my heroes @thelaurenchristy who also wrote Avril Lavigne’s first album ~ which also happens to be the very first CD I ever bought and it inspired me to start writing when I was ten years old. Way more to come about this story in a future post. PSYCHO is about an asshole I hope I never see again. I hope you guys love this album as much as I do 😭 UNHINGED HALL OF FAME ~ OUT NOW! 📸: @maleene__h @applemusic @spotifyafrica @kfmza @5fm #erinelliot #newmusic #popmusic #trendingaudio #songwriter

PITY PARTY IS OUT IN THE WORLD AND I’M SO HAPPY TO FINALLY SHARE THIS ONE WITH YOU 💖 I created this song with @aidin.nortje and honestly it came together so quickly ~ it’s all about not taking yourself too seriously and making fun of how dramatic we can sometimes be, when in fact… life isn’t actually all that bad. This is the song to play on full blast in your car on your way home from a night out OR if you’re like me - on your way to Woolies when you’re having a bad day and just feeling sorry for yourself. It’s full on pop, so much fun, and I hope you love it as much as I do 🤟🏼 100 points to whoever can guess which one of my pop star friends’ hands are crowning me in this pic 🤣💅🏼 Also a big shoutout to @theomuldr for such a great mix! GO STREAM IT PEEPS! #pityparty #newmusic #popmusic #popsong #pop

Roshai, my oudste seun, vier vandag sy 30ste 🎉🤗❤️. Só lief vir en trots op hom en Anneke. Kan nie wag vir hulle dogtertjie se geboorte in November 🙌🏻🙏🏻. Veels geluk my oudste. Jy (en Anneke en baba) is van die grootste vreugdes in my lewe. Drie dekades gelede het ek ‘n Pappa geword. Dankie my seun, my oudste, vir jou liefde en omgee en voorbeeld en wysheid. Ek het nou trane in my oë soos ek hier tik. Ek is só trots op jou: ‘n man van integriteit. Jy is ‘n “modern day knight!” Ek het jou lief en wil altyd daar wees vir jou/julle. Ek bid vir jou/julle. Liefde Pappa Mag @u2 se nuwe single STREET OF DREAMS die klankbaan wees vir jou volgende dekade 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻: God hear me shout 🙌🏻 Lend your ear to my prayer🙏🏻 When I’m far from anywhere Down to my last breath of air La calle, calle de los sueños All the doors are open on the street of dreams La Calle, calle de los sueños Broken are the chosen on the street of dreams Be here Be free Be yourself And then free me Your fate gonna fight it Your trust won’t be denied it This bus gonna ride it to the street of dreams La calle, calle de los sueños Justice an obsession on the street of dreams La Calle, calle de los sueños Love in a procession down the street of dreams Break out Break through Break in Your dream needs you Your life gonna find you Your fear not gonna blind you Random angels gonna guide you To the street of dreams Calle, calle de los sueños All the doors are open on the street of dreams La Calle, calle de los sueños Broken are the chosen on the street of dreams Don’t you give up on your dream for the many not just the few Don’t you give up and your dreams won’t give up on you La calle, calle de los sueños Justice an obsession on the street of dreams La Calle, calle de los sueños Love in a procession down the street of dreams Broken are the chosen on the street of dreams God hear me shout and you’ll heed to my prayer https://youtu.be/g2ou5lLm9OE?si=oXRozVwn-LosFetX
