#otd #onthisday #flashback #classics #nostalgia #JustinTimberlake #Timbaland #2000s #2006 #fsls #musica #livemusic #popmusic #rnb #lovesong

Happy 20th anniversary to one of Justin Timberlake’s most-loved songs — “My Love”. On October 24, 2006, “My Love” featuring T.I. was officially released as a single from FutureSex/LoveSounds. The song spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2007. The music video also earned Marty Kudelka an MTV VMA for Best Choreography. Be honest, who didn’t try those moves at home? Pitchfork also named it the best song of 2006. #justintimberlake #timbaland #danja #martykudelka #mylove

Behind the song: “My Love” While Justin Timberlake was working on “SexyBack”, Danja was making a beat on his MPC. Justin overheard it, asked him to play it through the speakers, and “My Love” ended up being the next song he wrote. And the way Justin talks about Danja here… You can tell how much he believes in him, especially when he says we’re going to hear a lot more from him. Hearing that now, 20 years later, makes it even sweeter. #justintimberlake #danja #timbaland #mylove
