Merry Christmas... Peanut Butter & Jam @crosstown doughnut with peanuts on top 👌🏽

I have 5 left, eyes are on the chocolate one 😈

What’s your favourite doughnut flavour & company?

For most of my adult life I believed it was the food causing any weight gain..
(I wasn’t responsible)
I now coach that it’s the habits we have & the way we view the food.

🥺Old mindset: Oh no, I’ll gain weight if I have this, it’s 2 days before Christmas & I’ll become a whale, I might as well go on an eating frenzy as I’ve ruined everything (tad dramatic but very true)
😋New mindset:It’s a delicious doughnut, merry Christmas 🎄

Do I live on them?? Absolutely not, do I now actually enjoy them, absolutely yes!! No guilt while I’m eating, no need to binge because I thought I fucked up.
80% of the time I 100% eat beautiful delicious nutrient dense foods & the rest I enjoy other delights, less nutritious foods without guilt..

This helps me be more consistent all of the time 👊🏽

Homemade Chicken kebab
Feel free to Save & Share ❤️

Everyone in my family chipped in, kids marinated & stacked the boneless chicken thighs, my partner made & baked fresh pita...
(Makes a huge difference)

So simple, incredibly tasty (I’m very proud) it’s very inclusive for family to help & get involved

Delicious & a relationship builder 👊🏽

Hot oven, gas mark 8/9

•Wet 3 skewers so they don’t burn
•De-bone the chicken thighs
(I tore them out so we had extra mini treats of meat left on the bone once cooked)
•Roll the thighs in yoghurt, salt/pepper, garlic powder, lemon+herb seasoning, little chilli powder, lime juice.
•Cut onions in half, flat side down and pierce skewers so they’re standing.
•Start to layer the chicken, make sure it’s flat & spread out eventually, building as you go. We changed angels every piece.
•Use the other half of onions the seal the skewers.
•My stack fell 🤣, so I rotated every 20 mins for around 90mins, until cooked through with crispy, gnarly edges.
This way it kept getting plenty of yummy juice 🤓
•Spoon more juices over chicken every rotation.
•Save chicken juice to dip hot bread before you build your kebab 🤤(IMPORTANT)
•Crunchy side salad of red cabbage, red onion & carrot, simply dressed with cider vinegar, salt/pepper & so lime juice

Bonus chicken bones with little pockets of meat on for the kids (& me)

You can eat yummy foods and still stay on track having fun along the way 👊🏽
