5 days in Venice with @marthagrahamdance and @grahamforeurope for an intensive workshop that brought me back to my roots (dance) and opened the door to a new form of expression that’s always called (acting)…

Reawakening and connecting with the Artist within me - and going after and fully embracing the life she envisions for herself - is the reason I came to Europe this Summer. Grateful to Martha Graham, all my teachers past and present and @the_rafaelmolina for gifting a very tangible portal to initiate the journey.

Themes: self expression, willingness to be seen again, letting go to flow, dedication and discipline, lending my voice (literally) to (co)create, the body as a vessel + emotion as its fuel, on stage and home again, holding my energy, this little light of mine I’m gonna let it shine

Background:
This has been one of the most blessed and love-filled Summers and passages of my life. I’ve lived so many tender, expansive moments that have changed my life forever - in ways I can understand now and will be discovering for a life time. 60 days into this journey, these posts are an attempt to capture some of the magic and audible heartbeats. One day I’ll string it all together into a larger story of what’s happened and shifted in these precious months. For now, I hope you enjoy the moments…

Becoming my own dream girl…a process…The next 45 days will bring much movement… the closing of chapters…the need more than ever to listen and move intuitively, so that I might emerge into the most love-filled and aligned chapter yet.

I’ve felt the shifts coming - internally and in my physical reality - for some time. The vision of what’s emerging is clear, how it will happen is abstract still. The message from Spirit is that, to align with it, I’ll need to be limber in the knees, sharp in sight, deeply rooted in my being. In knowing who the heck I truly am, and am becoming.

I’ve been training for this transition with deep rest and deep conversations with my heart, who in the past never fully opened up because she wasn’t ever fully listened to. As I listen more, she speaks more. She’s told me she’s tired of carrying certain labels, ways of showing up in the world, fears, musts and shoulds. She’s tired of activating survival techniques, she wants to believe there’s a version of our life where she doesn’t need them. She wants to feel safe enough to be in the light. It’s funny because…me too, baby, me too.

As I’ve gotten closer with my heart my life has gotten sweeter, softer. We have become that grounded space for each other, that provides a supple and solid foundation for expansion. What we’ll co-create next in this world, I can’t wait to live and experience…I trust, we trust, it’ll be brilliant✨💞

January has been a blessing, filled with life celebrations, nature love, authentic connections, growing friendships both ancient and blooming. I’m feeling restored faith, nourished energy, and I’m ready to start planting again…This new chapter in life, you’re a vibe✌🏾✨

With recent news - on the reversal of reproductive rights - it’s never been more clear that the role of the community is to support, protect and celebrate in each other’s individuality. In our right to express our most authentic selves and live our most authentic lives… Our liberation is intersectional - we need each other. Coming together is the only way we’ll shake oppressive systems and their grip…

I can’t think of a better way to shake off the frustration and fear this weekend than celebrating pride with someone who’s taught me how to break out of my own boxes, and live and create with joy. Thank you for the invite to House of Gess (😉) and for shining your light @gess8 …

This song says it so clearly. The key to how we’ll navigate, survive and thrive thru these moments of dense shifts and changes is a miracle, yes…

This week - on a rainy, jazzy, cozy night - we gathered together for the first time in this space. It was a magical evening - a manifestation of what was once a dream and the planting of many more dreams to come.

Thank you to all those who graced this space, and to Fernanda for the healing sound journey. We all slept so soundly that night and we’ll surely be doing this again. Stay tuned…✨

A week in adventures and happy advances at Casa Creación…some realness, too…

I’ll be honest, the original plan was to tuck this project away until it was pristine and finished, but the universe had other plans. When the budget from a designer came back 16 times (😮) what we said we had from day 1, there was a week of paralysis. I felt overwhelmed by the scale and unsure of how to create forward. But…friends and angels…a good cry and some rest…vibing in the colonia and being inspired by neighbors who’re making their dreams come true…it’s gotten me back on track…

The new mode is sharing as we go along, and making little moves that bring big joy. Plantas, color y luz….buenas vibras. The rest is coming, we feel and we trust…

Thank you for going on this journey with me, it’s healing the perfectionist immensely…lol, and it’s starting to get fun😉
