ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT | FUNEKA SHUPING

We are pleased to announce Funeka Shuping, a Soweto-born South African abstract artist, as a participating artist in the Melville Mzansi Art Expo 2026.

Shuping’s practice explores colour, texture, nature and memory, with bees serving as recurring symbols of community, discipline and creation. His distinctive use of earthy tones and vibrant colour reflects a practice deeply connected to place, identity and possibility.

Experience Funeka Shuping’s work at the Melville Mzansi Art Expo 2026.

📍 Melville, Johannesburg

BRAVE RAGAZZE in Sudafrica 🇿🇦
Tre concerti tra Pretoria e Johannesburg
insieme a @pasqualedilascio_percussion e @alessandromorlando93
.
Tra le cose inaspettate: ostriche buonissime;
.

Today, on Mother’s Day, I pay tribute to all mothers through a special live-band rendition of @nas ’ timeless song, “Dance.” ❤️

A tribute to every mother for the prayers, sacrifices, love, and strength that shaped our lives.
To those who still have their mothers, hold them close. To those whose mothers have passed on, may this performance bring comfort and beautiful memories.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the queens 🌹#Dance #mothers #mothersday #nas #rapsonnation
