Some women collect shoes. I have a thing for fabulous glasses! 🤓❤️

On my recent trip to Vancouver, I stopped by @theopticalboutique to see my dear friend Sue, who has such an incredible eye for finding frames that feel like YOU.

Just in time for Fashion Week, we played with shapes, colors, and a little personality. Because the right pair of glasses doesn’t just complete an outfit. Sometimes, it makes the whole look.

And clearly, choosing just one pair was never going to be easy! 😂

Thank you, Sue, for always knowing exactly what suits me.

@suerandhawa_, owner of @theopticalboutique, has never been afraid of colour, individuality, or making a bold choice. There’s a confidence that comes from knowing who you are and no longer looking for permission to express it.

Less interested in the rules. More confident in our choices and not afraid to be seen. Beauty is simply the freedom to stop being who we think we should be, and simply become ourselves.

Went out last night and the invitation literally said: dress fly. 😂

Immediately heard @ririalice in my head: “Don’t ask me the dress code. Just get fly.”

So… I got fly. ⚡️

And can we talk about this @arthatelier blazer for a second? 23 hours of handwork went into the embroidery on the lapels. That’s the kind of detail I will always appreciate.

Add a little leopard, a lot of jewelry, and apparently I understood the assignment.

Flyyyyy glasses @theopticalboutique 🔥

The older I get, the less interested I am in things that “go together.”

Lace with cargos.
Brooches with menswear.
Gold piled on gold.
A little masculine. A little feminine. A lot of personality.

Maybe personal style isn’t about getting it right.
Maybe it’s about finally knowing what feels like you.

And having fun with it. 🤎

More is more. At least today. 😉

Lace, leather, layers, gold, a little leopard… and absolutely no restraint.

Because sometimes the outfit doesn’t need one thing taken off.

It needs one more thing added.

When the invite says, cocktails after work.
The workwear stays, the accessories get louder.
A classic pinstripe, a shot of color, a few too many brooches, which means just enough, oversized glasses and a little emerald velvet clutch.
Sometimes you don’t need to change the outfit, you just need to turn up the personality. Would you wear your workwear like this after hours?

The outfit was fine.
Then I kept going. 😎

A little red.
A little yellow.
Too much jewelry.
And absolutely no restraint.

That’s usually when it starts getting interesting.

Style should be fun. Full stop.
