Minor Moments: BK Kirkland on WKTU. I wanna say this is somewhere around 1978 as opposed to 1981 aircheck for KTU. From working in Columbus, Ohio, Detroit, and Birmingham, Michigan, BK would land in opportunity to work in his hometown of New York City in the mid to late 70’s when Hal Jackson hired him to become a disc jockey on WBLS 107.5FM Inner City Broadcasting for two years. BK would leave BLS In 1978 and would spend six months down the street at Disco 92 WKTU. And soon afterwords BK would be reinstated with Inner-City Broadcasting and would go out to the West-coast (San Francisco )to be the program director and founder of the Quiet Storm format for KBLX in 1979 and the rest is history. #wbls #kblx #thequietstorm #bayarea #radio BK Kirkland, Clifford Brown Jr, Chris Lewis, Heidi Chang, Stevie Collins, Leslie Stoval, Monica Logan, TK Kilbert, etc.
