📖The Ghostkeeper: Dorian Leith can see ghosts. Not only that, he listens to their problems and tries to help them move on to the afterlife. It’s a gift that’s made him an outcast to everyone in town. That is except for his dearly departed grandmother, who he’s partnered with to turn this paranormal ability into an honest living, and the local bookshop owner, who seems to be the only non-deceased person willing to give him a chance. But it’s all worth it to Dorian, who feels like he’s been given a bigger purpose. A chance to save those who cannot save themselves.

Then one day, the key to Death’s Door is stolen, trapping all the ghosts in the land of the living. Since he’s only one who can see them, the spirits rely on Dorian to retrieve the key before it is too late. If they can’t move on, they’ll soon be consumed by a ghostly rot that has begun to plague them.

As it continues to fester and spread, and the ghosts become desperate for relief, Dorian must do whatever it takes to find a way to bring peace to the restless dead—even if that peace comes at the cost of his own….

Meet @lkindigo !

✒️Sunday, October 18th ~ 1:00-3:00pm

📖Blank Canvas: An ode to the raw, blank page creatives use to funnel their pain, joy, and day-to-day lives. This collection explores themes of love, mental health, and feminism through utilization of artistic terminology. The poems journey through the emotions of the human experience, protesting about how our architects have drafted us flawed while recognizing that life is still worth holding onto, despite its flaws, as even the most esteemed masterpieces have them.

Its pieces are relatable, touching upon individual expression, anxiety, depression, grief, love, and the day-to-day monotony that sometimes becomes unbearable without a breath of fresh air in sight. It speaks to those whose souls sing to create, to break free of the mundanity of societal constructs and expectations, yet feel trapped within corporate confines. It’s a scribble of moments, a sketch of commentary, and a stroke of introspection. Art is in us and all around us.

✒️Leanne will be hosting a mini writing workshop during the event!

Meet @saturnalia.queen !

⚔️Saturday, October 3rd ~ 1:00-3:00pm

📖🌿Empress in Exlie:
Fulvia Plautilla was used to getting what she wanted. When her powerful father arranges for her to marry Antoninus, the young Augustus and heir to Rome's empire, Plautilla thought she had won the ultimate prize. But she soon realizes it is Geta, Antoninus' younger brother, who has captured her heart.
Trapped in a loveless marriage, Plautilla discovers an innate talent for bird divination, fueling her desire to escape the strict confines of the imperial palace. As her skills as an augur grow and she embarks on an illicit affair, Plautilla becomes caught up in a dangerous game between two warring brothers, which threatens to risk her royal status, her family, and ultimately her life.

📖🛡The Saturnalia Queen:
The Emperor Caracalla is feared throughout the Roman Empire as a cold and cruel tyrant. Yet when he travels to Germania, Caracalla encounters a young healer who refuses to be subjugated to his will. For Gelvira, this Roman Emperor fills her with both fear and desire as she feels a connection to him that cannot be explained.
As desire leads to passion and then love, Gelvira must risk everything to save not only her people but also Caracalla from those who would stop at nothing to claim Rome's power for their own.
