She returned to her body.
To her breath. To her receiving.

She does not chase. She draws in.
She does not convince. She emanates.

This is why you can’t look away ,
even when she gives you nothing to see.

Welcome to 2026 My Loves!
I love starting off the new year for my friends! (I have accepted this responsibility as my own, since I was blessed with a January 3rd birth date)

I am truly excited for what the rest of this decade has in store for me. Especially, given that the 'thirties' generate exceptionally catchy birthday phrases when you are born on the 3rd of a month - eg. "30 on the 3rd" and my upcoming favorite "33 on the 3rd".

Moreover, this chapter will have innumerable opportunities for growth, maturity, experimentation and rebirth.

My 20s was an improper ratio of achievements and tribulations; ranging from starting my dream career to being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune skin disease affecting only 1 to 5 persons per million.

It was quite the wild ride; very preparatory.

Now, I venture into another season armored with experience, confidence and optimism.

With Love,
Athena XOXO

Don't you ever give up✨ That dream you have that feels just out of reach, so close, but so far away, just know that it’s achievable. You might take different routes to get to the same place, but life is like that, all our journeys are different.

Years ago, when I started taking self-portraits with my selfie camera and posting them on Instagram, secretly hoping that I could be a model, I never knew I’d be here today. When I did my first photoshoot years ago with nothing but hope, I had no idea I’d be where I am today. A model, branching into photography, and a business owner @cocozuri_ja

I might be short, but I’m short of nothing.
As a petite, freelance, unsigned model, I’ve come a long way, and I’ve done well, if I do say so myself. My passion, my drive, and my determination have been paying off, and I’m still reaching higher, still dreaming, believing, and pursuing those dreams.
So I say to you, don't you ever give up.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped shape my journey along the way, photographers, stylists, my model peers, my mom, friends and family, and everyone who’s always sending me encouraging messages. To everyone who has believed in me, booked me, or worked with me, thank you 🤞🏾❤️

@smilejamtvj thank you for the opportunity ✨
