Happy Valentines, y’all! I’ve been saying this a lot lately…but if you are not in love with all your friends…what are u even doing rn?? I’m so blown away by all my amazing, talented pals and all the beautiful things they bring to this world. Call it queer coded, but if yer not gay for yer friends maybe you should try telling them HOW CUTE THEY R and HOW MUCH U LOVE THEM. It’s divine, healing and straight up anti patriarchal. Tonight I’ll be crooning with my bestie @erinlunsfordmusic at @eatdrinkdoyle ! As long as we’ve been pals, we’ve told each other how much we love each other. We cry about it sometimes…In times like these, acts of love, tenderness, joy and community are radical. 💘 DOORS 7 SHOW 8 Seated tix $25 Standing $10 Tix 🔗 above 💌 . . . #valentines #palentines #loveisintheair #joyasanactofresistance #loveasanactofresistance #queerpride #gayforyourfriends #gayforu #enby #they #themmefatale #femmefatale #transisbeautiful #inlovewithmyfriends #besties

Last month, I planned my new city’s People’s March in protest of Trump’s inauguration #HarrisburgPeoplesMarch I didn’t know anyone, but over 100 people showed up to not only make their voices heard that day, but learn how they could get involved and CONTINUE to organize, join groups already doing the work in their community and grow as activists themselves. It was inspiring! I’m lucky to live in a community and a country where this kind of action is possible and it’s why I’m still hopeful even as I see the horrific actions this administration has taken within its first few weeks in office. Scroll through to see photos, speeches and some news coverage. Use the QR code on the last slide to check out a Linktree I made with lots of resources to continue to get involved and train to be a better organizer and activist! ✊💙 #PeoplesMarch #WomensMarch #Harrisburg #PeoplesMarchPA #WeThePeople #WomensRights #HumanRights #WeWontGoBack #Resist #Feminism #WomensMarch2025 #MLKDay #RadicalRevolution #LetsGetInFormation #LetsGoGirls #FightThePatriarchy #FuckTrump #PeoplePower #WeFightWeWin #OurBodiesOurChoice #MyBodyMyChoice #StrongerTogether #ReproductiveRights #TransRights #ReproductiveJustice #ScienceIsReal #RegisterToVote

🔥FEAR TO LOVE✨ This past weekend I carried a sign of Empathy, Love, and Hope. This sign was the heaviest of them all. In order to seek love and hope you must experience the pain and deviation. To reach the heights of love, you must understand the depth of sorrow. This past year I was reminded of my own pain. I was attacked in my home. The armed man even recorded the attack for his own enjoyment. Equipped with love and empathy from my support system, I reported the violation to the criminal and civil legal systems. The hope I carried became heavy as I realized the limitations of the legal system. Many individuals and organizations supported the weight of this hope. I have so much privilege in the legal system. Yet my experience mirrored 90% of those attacked. No charges or accountability was brought. In the weeks that followed, I am still drawn to hope. Hope that this community and world will find unity. Hope that we will see each other with compassion and hope. It’s the hardest thing I have ever done to Radiate Vibrant Love! If you are interested in learning more about how I am striving to Love Abundantly, please check out Avonlee Ventures! #Empathy #Love #Hope #Community #Unity #Compassion #RadiateLove #Healing #SupportSystem #Justice #Accountability #Resilience #StrengthInNumbers #TogetherWeRise #EndViolence #MentalHealthAwareness #SurvivorStrong #LoveAbundantly #SocialChange #Inspiration #womensmarch2018 #womensmarchdenver2019 #womxnmarchdenver2019 #peoplesmarch2025 #nocopeoplesmarch

My first finished project of 2025, already taken to the streets (and the Lafayette Courthouse). As I’m getting ready to move into my first private studio space, I’ve been trying in vain to plan out projects in advance while also trying to ignore our country’s fall into fascism. I wondered how I would be able to support my students when I am deeply aware of how uncertain the future is, but I remembered that all I can do is take my art-ed family’s advice and make some art about it.

A look into how Creighton SNaPH is starting off 2025! We learned about the History of the U.S healthcare system and the new leadership committee got together. We also participated in the People’s March to display to the government representative that we are keeping them accountable for their actions on issues such as reproductive, LGBTQ+, and women’s rights; economic, environmental, and racial justice! If you missed these first events don’t worry there is more! Come to Lincoln with us to advocate for the bill LB174 that protects patients with medical debt. In addition, come to our bake sale in Skutt or Werner! Enjoy sweet treats and help eliminate Nebraskan Medical debt!

This weekend organizers of the 2017 #WomensMarch organized over 325 protests across the nation under #PeoplesMarch — a new coalition of #Resistance. The media coverage is meager, the concentrated ownership of commercial media is the real threat to the #FirstAmmendment today. #United4Democracy

Yesterday gave “leading from the front” a whole new (literal) meaning. An unforgettable experience serving as a marshal for the People’s March in Washington D.C. Feeling the collective power of the thousands of people marching behind us for women’s rights and reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, racial equality, the climate crisis, immigration & democracy was a powerful reminder that change happens when we show up TOGETHER. #peoplesmarch #peoplesmarch2025 —- THANK YOU to all the organizers and leaders who made yesterday possible — because it’s YOU who prove that good leaders lead from the front. To lead from the front is to set the pace, to shoulder the responsibility, and to inspire by action. Thank you to MPDC and DC FEMS for helping to keep everyone safe yesterday.
