There are hearts that simply cannot look away from an animal in need.
So they choose to make a difference… one wagging tail at a time. 🐾❤️

For countless animals, Anita Shetty has been that heart.

She left behind a successful corporate career to dedicate herself to something she deeply believed in — giving animals a chance at the lives they deserve.

Today, her work touches so many lives across Pune. Through RehomingTails, she works towards giving abandoned and surrendered pets a second chance. Through Wakad Animal Rescue, she leads and holds together a community of people who come together to rescue, care for, and protect animals in need. And through The Pets Downtown, she has created a space where pets can be cared for, loved, and treated like family.

But beyond the organisations, the rescues, and the work, there is simply a person who chose to care — and chose to keep caring.

A person who could have stayed on a completely different path, but instead chose a life of compassion, responsibility, and countless second chances.

The world is a little kinder because she chose to care.
And Pune's animals are a little safer because she chose to stand up for them. 🐶🐱❤️

Happy Birthday, Anita! 🎂✨

Here’s to the woman behind so many rescues, so many second chances, and so many wagging tails.

May you continue to inspire, lead, rescue, and make this world a kinder place — one life at a time. 🐾❤️

With love,
Rehoming Tails

Downward dog? The puppies have mastered it better than us. 🐶🧘‍♀️💛

A little yoga, a lot of puppy cuddles, and zero stress left behind. If happiness had a shape, it would look exactly like this. ✨🐾

Big thanks to @thepetsdowntown and @wakadanimalrescue for pulling this and @bakeburst for the beautiful cake… the puppies loved it 🩷
