POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We spent a fantastic summer delivering a holiday playscheme for 8-11 year olds at @thephoenixgarden in partnership with @dragonhall_ 🌷 ☀️ 💦

The children’s love for clay and chalk was unwavering, and we massively enjoyed seeing what bizarre and ingenious things they decided to do with the resources, including creating homes for rats, using clay to channel a stream which seemed to stretch for miles, setting up an auction house for their crafts, making bespoke masks for each other, setting up swings, plus trying to entice a very curious young fox. 🦊 🔨 💎 🐀

What an incredible day celebrating the achievements of this year's Settle Graduates! 💜

We had games and activities hosted by the inspiring Jerome Harvey-Agyei, great food and time to enjoy reflecting on the year and come together as a community.

We were also joined by @quiltsforcareleavers for Care Leavers who generously provided beautiful handmade quilts for our graduates and other care-experienced young people in the Settle community.

Congratulations to everyone who graduated this year and thank you to everyone who made the day so special we had a blast! 🎉

I attended a Mindful Pressed Flower workshop hosted by
Atelier Zorro at the Phoenix Garrden.🌸

This workshop is designed to help you slow down,
reconnect with nature, and explore creativity as a form of
meditation. And it truly does just that.

Our hostess was Lise - she is incredibly knowledgeable
about her craft. She makes flower pressing feel
approachable, calming, and deeply creative.

If you’ve been craving a moment to pause, get your hands
in nature, and create something beautiful with intention,
while meeting new people - I highly recommend trying this
workshop.

You can find more information and upcoming dates by
following Atelier Zorro on socials.

There was a moment during the workshop when I caught myself thinking: "Wait... I'm working right now, but it doesn't feel like work... and I'm actually good at this." ✨

My heart is so full after welcoming so many beautiful souls to my pressed flower workshop.

One of my favourite moments was seeing everyone become completely absorbed in their creations. The room felt so calm and focused as each person crafted their card. And even better, complete strangers were exchanging numbers by the end because they realised they were on the same wavelength. 🙏

That's exactly what I hoped for.

Afterwards, I had a little chat with my anxious inner voice: "See? You didn't need to worry so much. You did it. You nailed it." 💛

Thank you to everyone who came and trusted me to guide this experience.

And there's more to come!

New workshops are on the way, giving you the chance to slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and make thoughtful gifts ahead of Christmas. A gift for someone else, and for yourself too. 🎄✨

More details coming soon!

I was meant to make just a few example pressed flower cards for tomorrow's workshop... but I completely lost track of time and got carried away. 🌸

✨ Fair warning: This craft is highly addictive.
Which card design is your favourite?

I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Thank you for trusting me and joining this little creative adventure.

I have a feeling we're going to have a beautiful time together.

And I have a confession... while I'm excited about flowers, creativity, and slowing down for a few hours, I'm equally excited about the possibility of seeing the teenage fox in the Phoenix Garden again.

🦊 Swipe to see our last encounter.

Was I stalking him? Maybe. But look at that face.

He seemed completely unbothered by my presence in this little wild garden paradise.

We still have 2 tickets left if you'd like to join us tomorrow, Saturday, 29 August, at 10 am. 💛

The opposite of depression is expression.

Humans were never meant to only consume. We were born to create.

Spot the squirrels at the end... they're just checking whether you watched the whole video 🐿

Join me on Saturday 29 August at 10am at The Phoenix Garden @thephoenixgarden to slow down, reconnect with nature, and learn the beautiful art of pressing flowers. 🌼

Calm isn't a personality trait. It's a skill.

In a chaotic world, the people best equipped to navigate uncertainty aren't the ones rushing to keep up.

They're the ones who can stay present.

It's no surprise that mindfulness is booming.
We're all looking for ways to slow down and feel more grounded 😌

But meditation and yoga don't work for everyone.

They certainly didn't work for my busy, anxious brain.

What did work? Keeping my hands busy.

Sewing. Pressing flowers. Creating. Imagining.

When your hands are focused, your mind has less space to spiral.

That's why crafting can be a powerful form of mindfulness, helping you reduce stress, improve focus, stay present, and reconnect with the world around you.

Sometimes calm isn't found by doing less.

Sometimes it's found by making something. 🌸✨

👉 If you're craving a few hours away from the noise, join me on 29 August for a mindful pressed flower workshop.

You'll learn the Art of Noticing, create your own beautiful card, and leave feeling calmer, grounded and proud of what you've made.

🎟️ Book your ticket via the Eventbrite link in my bio.
