It’s been easily one of the most valuable experiences of my life already. So many things learnt, so many people met and such a beautiful way to see the country

Hullo! So a couple of months ago, my stepdad enlightened us on the huge community of people that live on boats! We've been obsessed with tiny living, but had mostly been watching shipping container home builds and small static homes. We hadn't really ever thought about living on the canal but as soon as we started looking into it, we couldn't stop 🤯

We found a few different boats for sale but as beginners, it took a lot of research, talking to people and staying up til 3am watching youtube videos to find the perfect one🤩

We came across a lovely lady on Facebook marketplace called Connie, who was selling her beloved boat 'Nature's Bounty'. We quickly fell in love with it but with lockdown and the boat being over 100 miles away, we actually ended up buying the boat before we'd even seen it in person (don't worry we got a boat surveyor out first to check for any major issues!) We then had the hull blacked (bottom of the boat painted and freshened up) and before lockdown 2.0 hit, we made the journey up to FoxHangers marina in Devises to meet her for the first time🤞🏼

We'll be documenting our whole journey for ourselves, our family and anyone else who's interested! Any questions be sure to ask, I could talk about it all day!
