FIRST LOOK: Platform Sports opens in LoSo this Friday. Sports fans tap in👇🏻

But first, foIIow @dailydreclt and @jasonthomasclt for more

While there certainly are gems out there, Charlotte could use more sports bars.

@platformsportsclt will be a welcome addition with an expansive space, tons of TVs, a monster rooftop patio and a HUGE screen wall.

Located at @theplatformclt (near South Blvd and Clanton), Platform Sports is really 2 venues in one.

INSIDE:
There’s a huge bar, 2 giant screen walls that can play 20 events simultaneously and plenty of seating. The menu features classics like burgers, tendies and wings but also elevated fare like steak, lobster rolls and pasta.

They have something for everyone when it comes to drinks. Beer, wine, cocktails, soda and coffee and more!

Live betting odds will be shown so you can get in bets.

OUTSIDE
When the patio opens (future) it’s going to be like it’s is own venue. Think skyline views, a bar, a high covered roof and a dj. More to come on that!

OPENING WEEKEND SPORTS:
This weekend you’ll have the NBA season, the World Series, the NFL and college football. Aka all your fave games at the same time.

Are you a sports fan?

#FlashbackFriday to August 2022 when I was a guest panelist at @maynetayn ‘s The Platform “Get In Sync” Panel Edition Thank you Jermaine!

A few take aways…

1. one of the main reasons why you keep missing out on sync licensing opportunities is because your contact info is not listed under your publisher account in the public PROs Repertory or either you just don’t have a publisher account because you haven’t joined as a publisher. By default every songwriter and producer is self-published until you get picked up by a major publisher. STOP LOOKING FOR A PUBLISHER.. IT STARTS WITH YOU!

2. how to get possession of your masters after recording… GET A DAMN HARD DRIVE! Solid State Drive (SSD) preferably. Present your hard drive to engineer after your recording session and tell them to upload your session files (masters) to your hard drive. This is where they pull the mp3, wav file, instrumental etc… imagine losing ALL that after recording one of your best songs.

3. how to properly organize and send your music for placements… purchase a DISCO account and start getting your co-writers and producers information so you all can do business making music and make money If you’re co-writing/co-producing a song together, you should walk away laughing and knowing each others legal names, PRO Affiliation, IPI# mailing addresses.

4. every creator should make themselves accessible. Get a google number and create an alternate gmail account and place contact info in your bio, your YouTube description, and wherever else. check them at least every 2–3 days or forward them to your primary email. IF YOU’RE NOT GONNA HANDLE YOUR BIZ FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL!

5. Educate yourself and/or Find someone reputable and knowledgeable to educate you on the music business Book a consultation with me if you’re serious about your music and the business of it and want to learn more do it right and know where to start . 704-277-5873 admin@iAMaSONGwriter.com
