Q: What’s one powerful lesson you’ve learned in the past five years?

A: The higher you go in any aspect of life, whether that be in your career, education, travels, or relationships, the more you may discover that there are people around you who secretly envy what you have.

You can often tell through the slick remarks and subtle jokes that reveal how they truly feel toward you.

Keep your circle small, and keep your dreams in conversations meant only for those who have shown you they can be trusted, not through their words, but through their actions.🧡

What a blessing it is to have 18+ years of friendship across borders that has grown into us being family. We met in high school in Texas, and now, all these years later, we’ve both left and pursued our dreams in different parts of the world.

To be able to travel the globe with my best friend turned brother from another amazing mother, exploring new places (Felo is a software engineer, so it’s super cool to visit some of the coolest Google offices in the world), creating unforgettable memories, and seeing different corners of the world together is something I’ll never take for granted. Even more special to be able to explore my future MSc uni abroad along the way! 🥹🧠💻🌎🌈📚🇬🇧🇳🇱✨

Just finished my first day at Toronto Tech Week and attended “Toronto Takes on the World,” a conversation centred around global expansion, innovation, and the realities of scaling beyond Canada.

Having earned my degree in Language and Intercultural Relations, this discussion deeply resonated with me, especially as someone who has had the opportunity to travel across Asia, South America, and Europe and witness firsthand how culture, communication, and human connection shape the way people live, work, and build community across borders.

It was inspiring to hear how Toronto-based founders are navigating international growth while leveraging the city’s diversity and globally connected ecosystem. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the reminder that meaningful growth starts with understanding people first, across cultures, industries, and communities.

I’m excited to continue listening, learning, and engaging in insightful conversations throughout the week! 🧠

Some brands feel like more than just clothes. They feel like a place you come from. A mindset. A way you move through the city.

October’s Very Own has always felt like that to me — rooted in Toronto, built on consistency, and carried by details that don’t need to be loud to be seen. So this shoot wasn’t just about outfits. It was about telling a story the way I live it. Purple days, black nights. Coffee in hand. Pages turning. Music in the background. Even the bubblegum moments that aren’t planned but somehow end up saying the most.

I’ve always been drawn to things that feel timeless — not because they’re perfect, but because they last. Looks that feel confident without forcing it. Style that feels lived-in, not borrowed. Moments that don’t just exist for a photo, but for real life too.

Standing or sitting, quiet or bold — it’s all the same energy. Paying attention to the details. Showing up with intention. Building a point of view that feels honest to who I am and where I’m from.

This is me, in my element. In my city. In my season.
Not chasing noise — just telling the story the way it’s meant to be told.
