These are my Antwerp spots, the real ones.

Not a guidebook list. Just the places I actually go: where I start my week, where I disappear for a quiet matcha, where an evening drink somehow always turns into hours of conversation.

Andy’s, Coffee
This is where you’ll always find me. Monday and Wednesday, 7am, PT session with my best friend and afterwards, an oat latte that turns into catching up on the whole week. Everyone knows everyone here. That kind of open, relaxed hospitality? I haven’t found it anywhere else in Antwerp.

Kukai, Matcha
The best matcha in the neighbourhood, hands down. Get the one with rose foam and steal a few quiet minutes in their little room at the back. Their ceremonial cacao is just as good, honestly.

Bakkerij Diné, Chocolate pastries
Walk into Diné and she already knows before I say a word: “Chocoladebroodje?” That little chocolate stripe on top might have something to do with why it’s my favourite there.

Tinsel, Breakfast
Just around the corner from me and honestly some of the most wholesome breakfast dishes I know.

Prep Kitchen, Breakfast
Another one of my absolute go-tos for breakfast.

Fuel, Lunch
This is my lunch spot. Healthy juices, wholesome bowls, exactly what I need to reset in the middle of the day.

Tango, Apéro & Dinner
One of my favourites, full stop. Easy for a drink, just as good for dinner.

Botanic Sanctuary, Apéro
When I want to feel a bit expansive, I’ll go for a glass of bubbles at the Botanic Sanctuary. There’s just something about a five-star hotel bar.

Bar Bordell, Apéro
Not as well known, but such a fun little spot. Their Pet Nat is genuinely top.

Nectar, Apéro
My friends Hannes and Olivier run this place and it’s my go-to when I want to people-watch on a beautiful terrace. Sometimes they come sit with us, and one drink turns into an entire evening of endless chatting. Pure joy.

Hiro, Dinner
For the purest kitchen in the city, this is my spot, at het Eilandje.

Orbit, Dinner
A little more trendy and one of my favourites when I’m in the mood for that.

Weer verbaasd hoeveel leuke koffiezaken Antwerpen heeft.

Vandaag waren we er om een vriend te supporten tijdens de marathon en liepen we spontaan deze plek binnen. Goede muziek, fijne mensen en misschien wel de beste French toast die ik in tijden heb gegeten. Fluffy vanbinnen met zo’n krokante gesuikerde crème brûlée laag aan de buitenkant en verse jam erbij.

Sunny side up eggs gedeeld, lekker spicy, veel verse kruiden en een hele luchtige focaccia on the side.

Echt top, top, top.

🧡 Op 24 september sloegen we de handen ineen met @uniqloeurope voor hun 'Care for Cashmere'-workshop in Antwerpen, in samenwerking met @oona.baas.

Zes senioren uit onze community trokken naar @uniqloeurope op de Meir. Ze kozen er een cashmere trui uit en gingen aan de slag met naald en draad, samen met een jongere generatie.

Er werd hersteld, gepersonaliseerd, verteld en gelachen. Jong leerde van oud, en oud van jong. 💛

Bedankt @uniqloeurope, @oona.baas, @saamo_antwerpen en @theprep.kitchen om dit mogelijk te maken!

Internationale dag van de koffie ☕️

De ideale gelegenheid, om een aantal van mijn favoriete koffiebars in Antwerpen in de bloemetjes te zetten!

De plekken waar ik kan ontspannen, gezellig babbelen, boeken lezen of net productief op mijn laptop werken… you name it. Het kan allemaal op deze plekken 🫶🏼

☕️ @bar.pilon lekkere koffie, lekker eten, lieve mensen, een tof en rustig terras onder de bomen op een pleintje. Een pareltje dat ik afgelopen maanden ontdekte en er nu liefst elk weekend zit.

☕️ @cafe.betty mijn oude stamcafé (uhm koffiebar sorry 😉) Een mooie toevoeging aan de koffiescene in Berchem! Uuuuuren heb ik hier doorgebracht!

☕️ @theprep.kitchen de latte art op deze foto zegt al genoeg vind ik 👏🏼 zéér lekkere koffie. En ik ga niet liegen, de lunch menu zag er ook zéér goed uit 👀

☕️ @manana.manana.antwerp het Spanje op Antwerpen Zuid. Uitgebaat door het liefste koppel die elke klant met een brede en enthousiaste glimlach bedienen 💛 ALLES op de kaart is lekker!

☕️ @phil_roast mijn nieuwe stamcafé (uhm koffiebar sorry 😉) Helemaal weg van de honey latte 🍯 echt DE plek om tot rust te komen!

☕️ @andyroasters mogelijks wel één van mijn favoriete roasters. Dit is eerder een algemene mededeling… zie je een koffiebar waar ze Andy serveren? Ga erheen!

☕️ @caffenation_coffee de koffiebar die altijd met mij mee blijkt te verhuizen 😃 en mijn steun en toeverlaat voor iced koffies in de zomer 🌞 (en lente en herfst en winter)

ANTWERP GUIDE: Going to Belgium to source loose diamonds for @attrejewelry means I try to make the most of the little time I have when I’m not working! Here are some favorites I’ve collected over the years:

FOOD

*Bagels at @neighborhood.bagels , best bagels out of New York City

*Lunch at @theprep.kitchen .... Simply order the full menu, because it’s THAT good

*Coffee at @cafematicantwerpen or @hekaffei ... It’s surprisingly hard to find good coffee in Antwerp, but these two are fabulous

*Dinner at @osakaantwerp or @cobra.antwerp

*Bar at @botanicsanctuary , where you will find the best cocktails and a great bar food menu

*Afternoon pick-me up at the most beautiful tiny bakery: @taart_fabrik

SHOPPING

* @houben_antwerp is the city’s best curated designer store with the sweetest team. Amazing selection of Khaite, Phoebe Philo and The Row.

* The @maisonlacollection store’s building (it once belonged to a jeweler family) will make your jaw drop. Heaven for fans of minimalist wardrobes.

*Both @driesvannoten as well as @anndemeulemeester_official are from Antwerp, so stopping by at their flagship stores is a must.

MUSEUMS

*There are obviously lots of great museums, but the Fashion Museum is a must. If you are interested in jewelry, you will enjoy the diamond museum too.
