FINALLY tried out @donjulioslatingrill , and they did NOT disappoint 🔥. From the hospitality to the incredible plates of food, the insane drinks 🍻 , everything was on POINT 💯. Food was fresh, flavorful, creative and you can tell it was made with love 🤝. First time trying El Salvadorian food and it won’t be the last 🇸🇻 .

Al Pastor Pupusa Burger 🍔 : FLAVOR BOMB 💣 messy in all the right ways, Al Pastor is sweet, but works well with the cheesy pupusa & toppings 🔥

Pupusas 🫓: PERFECT cheese melt EVERYTIME, crisp on the outside, pillowy inside, Birria was melt in your mouth tender, the Spinach/Zucchini/ Cheese was a SLEEPER🤫, the cheese and veggies combo was elite🤤

Tropical Beef Burrito 🌯: LOVED THIS ONE, carne asada seasoned well, the potato mixed with corn & white beans was unique and loaded with flavor all while giving you a cleaner feel to a hefty burrito 💪🏽 (the spicy salsa is 10/10) 🤷🏽‍♂️ 🌶️

Empanada De Leche 🥛 🍌: crispy, perfect level of sweetness and gooey inside filling 😮‍💨

DRINKS 🍹 🍻: The agua frescas are ELITE, loved the tropical and unique flavor combos, great palate cleanser, the Michelada was a sneaky suprise, lots of strong flavors that elevate a classic modelo 🌶️🥵

They change their pupasas flavors EVERY TWO WEEKS 😮‍💨 and they all HIT, GET YOU SOME 🫓

If you’ve ever driven through Rohnert Park, chances are you’ve heard of Don Julio’s. They’re known for putting a fun twist on Salvadoran and Mexican food, especially their pupusas. Of course they have the classics, but they also drop new flavors every 2 weeks. 🔥

Of course I had to try the Al Pastor Pupusa Burger since everyone talks about it, and honestly, it was worth the hype. The Puchitaco is another crowd favorite, but if you’re anything like me and love finding the underrated menu items, don’t skip the Tropical Burritos. Those deserve way more love. 🍍🌯

I love finding spots like this that have been part of the community for years and still keep things fresh. Plus the portions are huge, so come hungry!! 😂

This thing is a cheese lover’s dream—crispy, golden edges, that perfect cheese pull, and jalapeños packed inside. 🌶️ The balance of sweet, melty cheese and the heat from the chilies is amazing.

Fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and not overly greasy—just thick, heavy, and packed with flavor. 10/10 pupusa.
