Back in October 2017, when @dreamtheaterofficial played in Mumbai, I was in the crowd, a lifelong fan watching a band that had been part of my musical journey for many years. That night, though, had other plans. The rain was relentless, the venue flooded, and we quite literally had to run out.

What I couldn’t have imagined then was the full-circle moment years later: not just attending, but part of organizing two epic Dream Theater concerts in Bangalore and Kolkata, with over 20,000+ fans showing up. Moments like these don’t just happen, they take capital, vision, persistence, and an entire army behind the scenes. Huge shoutout to Skillbox, the crew, and everyone who made this possible.

This experience reinforces something I’ve believed for years, rock audiences are one of the most powerful communities for brands. They drive massive footfalls, show some of the highest consumption levels, and most importantly, they are true loyalists. They don’t just attend, they invest in the culture.

Rock in India isn’t fading. It’s rising massively

The brands that recognize this won’t just be just visible they’ll become part of the culture and movement.

New @parvaazmusic album has dropped today, and it takes me right back to their insane sundowner set at @royalenfieldmotoverse in Goa. What a moment, Parvaaz live + The Sky 🤌

There isn’t another artist on the planet who can command a crowd the way @jacobcollier does, it is unreal to witness. His band is called incredible for a reason, and every moment of the show reminded us why.

What made the night even more meaningful was catching up with Jacob later and hearing him recall the tour he did with @skillboxofficial two years ago, especially how we managed to pull off that unforgettable Bangalore show in the middle of a storm. For someone operating at his level to remember that and speak about it with such warmth says everything about the kind of human he is, grounded, gracious, and genuinely connected to the people he works with.

This show was also extra special because it was the first SkillBox event my mom attended, and she absolutely loved it. Hopefully you will see her at more shows, just not the metal ones 😉

Huge shoutout to the entire SkillBox team for delivering yet another phenomenal tour. It feels amazing that we get to introduce people to new music and unique live experiences that bring so much joy. Seeing audiences of all ages come together, from kids to older listeners, united by a love for great music is what keeps us going.

The season has begun, and you can tell from the dark circles under our eyes, with one bag always packed forgetting in which city or airport we are sometimes. The last time we slept properly is never, but this is the life we love and choose every single day.

On to the next one 🚀
