I got a phone call from my buddy who was in the middle of the ocean asking for help...

"Hey Jess, I'm on the reef and I just realized... I forgot my fins... Can you come and bring me some please???"

It was fun having a little adventure and helping @there.she.ventures out today, even though I tapped out from diving because I'm recovering from a cold.

I hope you get ALL the fish today Nancy and Heather!! I'm sure using my fins will give you an edge!!!!

Has anyone ever spearfished a Tarpon? Apparently they are terrible tasting fish!

These guys nearly always make me jump with the shark-reflex when I see them... Especially in murky water! They are pretty huge fish!

This footage was when @there.she.ventures and I went to #puertorico and we frolicked around with a family of them at #stepsbeach

I typically see them at the end of the pier at #lauderdalebythesea or along the swimming buoy's going out to the reef.

@spearo.diaries invited @there.she.ventures and I to be guests on their podcast! It was so fun talking about Spearfishing with the lovely host, @elise.clynes who we had the pleasure of getting to know as a friend and competitor during @wfsc2017 World Freshwater Spearfishing in New Zealand this past March.

The episode will be released in October!

If you haven't already been filling your ear holes with all things spearfishing from this podcast (@spearo.diaries ), I highly recommend it!

I've listened to every episode so far in the car and have learnt so much from the guests who share their stories and hot tips to become a better spearo.

Thank you for the epic chat and catch up Elise!!! Look forward to seeing you at the next Freshwater Worlds and bringing your A-Game!!!

Freshwater Spearfishing Nationals, here we come!!
We left Fort Lauderdale this morning, flew to Houston. Denver and now Pierre. It's a long way but it's a great reason to travel to a lake with over 30 fish species!

Sooooo excited!
